  1. I am in. See I registered this year, not like last. I vote for the 12th as I am working on the 19th.
  2. I have the 48 scale MPM Pe-3 Expert Series and have misplaced (lost) the instructions for it. Would anyone be able do a scan and email me or PM me the scans? thanks, Wayne Beattie
  3. IL-2 with skis for Charlie Cheetah
  4. Over the last several months I have read In All Things First No. 1 Squadron at War 1939-1945, and Harrier.
  5. I cut back on the staining around the muzzle area. Wayne
  6. Hi all, Been awhile since I posted any finished kits. Been awhile since I finished a kit. Here is my 48 scale Tamiya F-16C done in the markings of the Montana ANG. I used the Afterburner decals for this one. Other stuff I used was and Aires wheel well set, Steel Beach's intake cover and covered ejection seat. I used Master's pitot tube and AOA probes. The plane is fitted to be used in a training mission to add some color. I also used Shull24's exhaust and added the static wicks but using 32G 4mm Ultra fine needles. All comments are welcome.
  7. Where do you get the time to build so many?
  8. Nice to see the Vampires. the marking you show I have done that one , but I would love to do more. Wayne
  9. Thanks guys for the nice words. Mike, I used part L12 for the spotlight. The instructions label as not being used. Wayne
  10. Was finally psyched up enough to put the fuselage together. I worked slowly. I glued the front with the resin cockpit sitting between the 2 pieces. I did it this way I could move the resin around to the right spot. When I had the front glued, I let it set overnight to set up. For the back section I put a piece of plastic strip to help guide the upper section and give it more glue area. As always all comments are welcome. Wayne
  11. That will be a nice and colorful version. Good luck with the build. Wayne
  12. I have always liked that version for some reason. Which markings are you going to use? Wayne
  13. Nice work so far Colin. Have you seen the cockpit photos that I have in FB? Wayne
  14. Next I began to build a box to hold the spotlight. It was built up on three sides with a whole drilled in the top to hold the plastic rod that was attached to the light.
  15. I have been working on the nose of the CF-188. The Canadian 18's have a spot light in the nose so I went to open the flashed over whole and took too much plastic off. Had to rebuild the lip. I took some thin plastic strip and glues it around the whole. I use the handle from a paint brush to make sure the strip was touching everywhere.
  16. Got the PE sill on. Next is painting the sill and the shelf behind the cockpit. Then I can try install the hellhole and cockpit. Slowly making progress. Wayne
  17. Got a little bit done on the Hornet today. Wayne
  18. The hook handle is there but up close to the sill so it can only be seen if really looking for it.
  19. Thanks Charlie and ALF, in my opinion it looks a lot better in person. As for the some of the details, if you are talking about the long yellow handle then yes, I am holding off attaching it since it is PE and I want to wait till I get the IP in before attaching. Did I mention I hate PE. LOL The throttle is resin and it came slightly split. I know it should be together but.. I really don't feel like cutting such a small piece of resin. YES I am chicken. LOL Wayne
  20. Got the tub painted. I am working on the IP now. Wish I could take better close up pictures. All comments are welcome.
  21. Certainly looks like you have your work cut out for you. I see you have no choice but to put the landing gear on before closing up the fuselage, but it is really going to be a pain when it comes to painting the plane.
