  1. Here is a pic of the PE that comes with the cockpit set. Lots of fun.
  2. The resin seat comes with PE straps. I have the Modern guide to the F-18 so there is lots of info there, but I will take any advice I can get. I was hoping some of the CF-18 experts would show up.
  3. Yeah I wonder where it came from?
  4. I have decided to build the Hasegawa 48 scale CF-18. I am going to put an Aires cockpit in it and use Canuck Models markings for one of the planes that Canada used in the Balkan campaign.
  5. Columbus is doable for me. I want a convention that is within (reasonable) driving distance. Last year ,2012, my wife drove to Disney because we wouldn't have been able to stay on the resort any other way. Next year we plan on attending the Hampton show since it only 19 hours driving time from where we live on the east coast of Canada, according to MapQuest. Now Columbus is 22 hours driving time. I have never been in that part of the states and would love to see the NFL hall of fame. If the finances allow,we will be attending 2015. Right now am focusing on the finances for Hampton Va.
  6. As soon as they announced at last years (2012) that it was going to be at Hampton Va, my wife and I started to make plans to attend our second Nationals. It is only a 2 day trip instead of 3 like last year. I really enjoyed last year. Hopefully next year I will get to meet more modelers from ARC. Wayne
  7. Did you have any fit issues with the tip tanks? Wayne

    Avenger fire wall

Hi all, anyone know where I can get any pics of the engine fire wall of the Avenger? thanks, Wayne Beattie
  12. This my Mig-29. It has the Brassin cockpit that comes with the kit. I added the Brassin exhausts and R-27 missiles. There is a lot of work in the kit as the fit wasn't that great. Overall I ma happy with the results. thanks for looking, Wayne
  13. Good...no one saw my mistake......
  14. Decal have started to appear on the kit.
  15. Well it is a little too late to fix now. Didn't have any research material until after I got past that stage. I have tried as much as possible to create a hard edge every where now. I really had a hard time trying remask all the trouble spots. I was still afraid of the paint lifting again. Here is where I have stopped the touch ups. I am going to let it sit a couple of days then start the gloss coat. Thanks again for all the comments. I am learning. I would like to build another Mig-29 later so I am taking notes from here for the next time. Wayne
  16. In the month since I posted I got all four colors on but when I removed the masking, this is what I saw. but not before this happened. I believe I have it fixed. I might have to touch up one more spot that is bugging me. I just have the nose cone to paint then I can say painted. thanks for looking. All comments are welcome. Wayne
  17. Started coloring the upper side. Light brown on first.
  18. I was born near there, but over on the dark side of the river (Quebec). I always love visiting Ottawa. Hoping to get there next September.
  19. What if you didn't buy the model from Lucky Models how do you get a replacement part? Do you contact Kinetic or do you still go through LM? Wayne
  20. I know I shouldn't say this but I am just going by the instructions. I will look up those colors. Thanks all. Wayne
  21. I am building a Czech Mig-29 with the 2 brown and 2 green scheme. I was wondering a good substitute for the dark brown color or the nearest color. The directions call for 20045, is this correct? No one that I can find makes that color in acrylic. Thanks for the help. Wayne Beattie
