  1. I would go with a grey green similar to RLM 02 with a touch more grey. The inside of the gear doors I would paint the underside camo color.IMHO
  2. FYI Wikipedia.org citing ACIG.org cites the Il-76 kill as a F-15C strafing a parked IL-76 with 20mm fire. However several other websites say it was RIFLE 01 525 TFS/36 TFW Greg "Dutch" Masters F-15C 79-064 Il-76 AIM-7M Take it FWIW...
  3. Is this line of paints going to be available in the US? I'm asking while I'm at work so my ability to google stuff is restricted..
  4. Please forgive my ignorance, but is the Belly and Intake mounted launchers and adapters the same as the wing launchers?
  5. Thank you for explaining that to us. I think it would be a great Idea to offer at least the additional pylons for purchase, maybe the missiles as well. I think the launchers are more important IMHO :-)!
  6. I Think the big question is not whether the steps are omitted from the instructions, but the actual launchers and adapters are not included in the kit. Even though they are depicted on the box top and in the instructions. So for the people that have the kit can you please check and see if we'll have to wait on aftermarket launchers or is it just a hiccup in the instructions.
  7. I have some pics of the MiG-31 R/H console. But I am lacking any of the L/H console and any side wall pics. Any Help?
  8. For those who have Facebook blocked,, http://merit-intl.com/meritnew/index.php?dest=products&sku=KIN-K48062
  9. Martin @ AMK Models, Thank you for being so proactive in this matter!!You're really setting the bar!!
  10. I would say do;t worry about it, the ream MiG-31BM doesn't use the missile.
  11. Showing in stock!!!! http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=KI-K48062
  12. Bring Back the F-4's!!!!!That was a AIRSHOW!!!!
  13. As others has said about Fayetteville, I spent 6 months there on a 1 month TDY! However I did meet some nice guys from a IPMS club about a hour away from the base. Ft. Drum is fine for 1 week at a time used to go upthere every year since 1990, for live weapons training. Ft.Hood was no fun either.
  14. At that time the A-10 didn't have the chaff/flare dispensers mounted on the gearpods or the wingtips, so I thought that those pods were dispensers. While it could be that, I really think its a range telemetry pod. If you remember the Tamiya 1/48th kit had the Chaff flare dispensing pod in it and this does not look like the those.
  15. Spectacular!!! I feel I could walk right up plug my comm cord in and launch her out!
  16. Definitely do it, if you have been offered a free upgrade go for it if you don't like it you can go back. But the main thing is to keep your OS (Whatever it is) as up to date as possible, don't use your admin account as your everyday account. I'm pretty adaptable so I had no problem from the upgrade from win 7 to win 10. There are a lot of new features that I really like!!
  17. What do you use for your masking? Extremely sharp lines there by the fin and missile body especially with that band in the middle. Masking is a "challenge" for me on these parts.. any advice would be appreciated.
  18. Well there is no thing as a ugly F-106!
  19. Jennings, I don't know if you are going to a decal for the curved anti-glare panel or maybe a template or something.?? I know I don't trust my self free handing cutting that curve.
  20. The cockpit really isn't classified, it's what the cockpit displays and "says" that's classified.

    AIM-9L/M

    I Agree with Curt!!
  22. I think the interceptor version is one of the icons of the cold war and definitely needs to be kitted accurately both the P and the PD, Having whatever parts necessary to kit Viktor Belenko's Foxbat would be a important selling point. From what I understand you just can't put a Red #31 and get away with it. Plus I think the Interceptor version has been exported more ( I could be wrong on that tho :o ) Next would be the recon/bomber versions. I would like to see the MiG-25BM Foxbat F, myself Then the trainer's This is how I would do it, my opinions only!
  23. I love the separate interior parts for the canopy!!! People don't realize how beefy those structures are.I worked military jets for 30+ years and this is one of the first representation of that type of structure I've seen in a kit.
