  1. Sure, he/she can select "single" on his/her release mode switch. Then one press of the weapons release button will release one bomb. Of course if the mission requires 2 bombs on the target he/she will select "pairs" and both bombs will release on one press of the weapons release button. Like I said earlier it is very aircraft dependent as far as each types of release modes. HTH Craig
  2. Sure! It akk depends how the pilot dials in the intervalometer. Even when he selects "ripple" i.e. everything with one push, the bombs will come off individually, albeit seperated by milliseconds. Most of the release modes are controlled by the A/C and not by the rack. HTH Craig
  3. AFI 21-101 Strictly prohibits "personal communication devices" on the flight line, or in the hangar. Note that it states "personal" Govt issued devices are OK as long is there is no other conflict i.e. in a fueling safety zone, servicing LOX etc. Note that AFI 21-101 is an Maintenance instruction but it should appply to all. Its mainly meant as a control regulation to prevent someones phone, pager etc gettting into some places where they shouldnt be (engines, flight control linkages etc.) HTH Craig
  4. Yes AFAIK there were no LASTE A-10's in DS. I met the DCM from Myrtle Beach at Gunsmoke 91, and he told me that there were no LASTE Hog's in DS. HTH Craig
  5. That was the time of the LASTE mod. My unit was one of the first to get the majority of there A/C modded. That was one of the reasons they didn't send us to DS. (they didn't want to have two different A-10 supply lines, or thats what they told us :( ) Most Active duty jets did not have LASTE in 1990 and probably got them toward the end of 91 as they could rotate them through depot. It seemed the ANG got theirs first along with AFRES units. So my advice to you is see if you can find a picture of the particular jet you want to do and model it from there. One other thing is that no one had the
  6. Thanks!!! I really like your A-10!! When that sheet was released it had our former Commander and my former ACC. I wish I had taken more shots of it when it was Euro one and freshly painted, to me that was my favorite scheme! Thanks again!!
  7. Yeah it was a long time in depot it left in may and came back the end of Nov. Plus it was the acceptance insp from He** a lot of work went in to it. There were quite a few problems that would take forever to talk about!!! Tomas I don't go back to work until Tuesday send me a PM on Monday and I will try to get copys of the T.O. panel arrangement. Craig
  8. Well My (well, the U.S. Citizens ) A-10 recently returned from depot after getting a SLEP wing. After a acceptance inspection from hell, I got it to fly today. Well, after a lot of hard work from a lot of folks, It flew a Code 1 FCF! Here is an overall shot, And here is a close up of the nose with my ladder door art and the crew name block (the names in grease pencil are two guys that really went above and beyond to get my jet fixed) Thanks for indulging me! :D Craig
  9. Wow!! your fast they were justthere yesterday I take i! They gotta big XCY happening, Now if one of those jets breaks, Ihope its at Key West NAS!! and they send this old crew chief down to fix it!!! :D Nice shots!! 718 is finnally scheduled to make a trip to the paint facility, it looks like crap right now. They just recently switch to a new formulation of paint and it really makes the A/C look really nice my het just got back from SLEP and a new paint job and it looks great!! I may have to start wearing them stinking booties  Thanks for posting Craig Baumer
  10. I am sure that they will get A-10C's. Why transistion everyone to a new airframe and then a year or so later have them learn a new A/C again. Because as we have been told once the aircrew get qualified on the "C" model they won't fly the "A" model anymore (at least tacticly) Happy New Year Craig
