  1. Scott I'm also desperately needing a 1/32 Academy F16 clear two seater canopy. I have a vacuform canopy in the isracast sufa conversion set but I personally do t like vacuform canopies. Do you prefer them? If you do, I'd also be interested in swapping the canopy for an academy one or buying one from you. I also have about 4 clear Tamiya F16 single seat canopies I'd swap
  2. Ok no worries. I would also be interested in buying your baby JDAMS. Do you want to sell any?
  3. Scott you mentioned using a sniper pod on one of your F16 builds. Do you have a sniper pod? If you dont, I have a brand new one from wolfpack with the clear parts and decals. If you dont have a sniper pod, would you be interested in swapping my sniper pod for two of your baby JDAMS?
  4. Yes that's the guy but I dont see any parts for the F15C Tamiya, I'll send him an email Thanks for the link
  5. QThen why is the Academy F16D nearly twice the price? Weird. I bought a 1/32 Tamiya F16C thunderbirds kit to make the Sufa. I got the isracast sufa conversion set, Aires F16 block 50 cockpit set, Aires wheel bays, isracast python 3s,, isracast spice bombs, isracast big fuel tanks, isracast Delilah 2 missiles, isracast sufa decals for all squadrons and the heavyweight landing gear from the Tamiya F16cJ block 50. I just think the Tamiya kit is superior to the academy one so that's why I want to make a sufa using the tamiya kit. Not sure what load out I'll put on the suf
  6. Yes and the sufa comes with a price tag half that of the academy F16D kit. I think the D kit is over 200 euros here. The sufa you can pick for about 100 euros. Cool thing about the sufa kit is it comes with baby JDAMS and all the weapons in the Sufa kit are nice too and can use on other projects. The academy Hornets also came with nice weapon sprues. Academy makes the best weapons I think outside resin ones. I think its the only 1/32 kit that comes with baby JDAMS.
  7. I'm looking for a 1/32 trumpeter F-14A tomcat. Reason I'm asking on a forum is I don't need the kit to have weapons, seats, cockpit or engine nozzles or decqals. So if anyone out there has a F14A as just the basic kit, I'd be interested in buying it. I'm based in France. If anyone has to one to sell, let me know. Cheers
  8. Can anyone recommend a good book that covers all versions of the F-16 and differences between all versions and blocks? I need a really good general book on the F-16.
  9. Hi all Well now I have the F-16 aggressor bug thanks to you guys!!!! I now am planning my next project - 1/32 F16N aggressor. So have some questions again for all you viper experts Firstly, does theF16N have a small mouth intake? Secondly, what external differences are there between the F16CJ and the F16N (as I want to use the 1/32 Tamiya F16CJ for thé project). It's a far better kit than the academy kit in my opinion. Thirdly, any other relevent info anyone can offer would be most appreciated. Once again, hope you can all help and
  10. Hi Gary The F18B parts arrived today. Thanks so much for that. Most appreciated. If you are ever looking for something, give me yell and I'll do my best to return the favour Cheers
  11. Hi all I'm wanting the Two Bobs 1/32 F16N old school adversaries decals. If anyone has a set to sell, please PM me. I also have a lot of different aggressor decals for F16, F18, F14, ect and a lot of aftermarket of which a lot is OOP. Someone might be looking for something so I'm also prepared to do a swap. Let me know if anyone is interested. Cheers
  12. Yes I have the Isradecal book F16I Sufa in IAF service and the isradecal book F-15I Ra'am in IAF service. I also have a 1/32 Tamiya F-15E with the isracast conversion set, decals and all the aftermarket ect ect as I also love the F-15I Ra'am. I have a pretty good library but just never really been a F-16 fan except for the Sufa. I'm more into Russian aircraft and mud movers such as Su25, A10, F18, G-14, tornado etc which I all have in the stash including Mig21, mig29, mig23 ect. So my library as I said is quite extensive but on everything really except the F16.
  13. I still think the sexiest F16 has got to be the Sufa. It just looks great, great camp scheme, extreme lethality in a strike fighter and just rocks. So I can't wait to build NY sufa either. So I just bought the sufa wheel bays, cockpit set, metal static dischargers, AN/ALQ 188 pod and now just ordered 4 resin ACMI pods from Harold as will do a couple of other aggressors -F15C, F18B (tip gun I. Splinter camo) F18B and I think a top gun F14A in splinter camo too. Aggressors are great as just love the variations of camo schemes
  14. Thanks again Niels. Photos will be invaluable. I'm just going g to have to be very careful cutting up the Aires cockpit set to joint it to the kit rear tub. Then my next challenge will be getting the kit rear tub to the standard of the front resin one as obviously the kit rear tub is pretty basic. I think I'll try and use the left and right consoles from the thunderbirds kit as they at least are fairly detailed. Then of course maybe an Eduard F16 placards set and add an oxygen hose ect. But I think with a bit of work and effort, the rear tub will come up just as well. I also have the 1/
  15. So guys just recap what I need to change externally to make the F16D 1/ ommit parts C24 and C25 air intakes from tail fin 2/ sand off bulges on main landing gear doors as using lightweight landing gear 3/ put landing lights on main landing gear struts 4/ only have 2 (max 4) dispensers 5/ use the MCID intake for late version F16D or the small mouth for early version So is that all the correct changes? If I just follow the instructions and copy the Tamiya Thunderbird externally (except the tail air intake parts), I should have an externally correct F
  16. Guys just drifting off topic for a second. I also want to make a 1/32 F15C aggressor using afterburner decals #AFD48081 (decals are in 1/32 scale but also come with 1/48 scale version) Not sure which scheme yet from desert flanker, blue flanker or digital flanker aggressor schemes). My quick question was would a 1/32 aires late version cockpit set be ok on its own or should I also use the 1/32 wolfpack #WP32025 MSIP update set which has the updated IPs ect. I'm assuming the updated IPs etc came into service in the cockpits of the F15Cs prior to 2012? Anyone let me kn
  17. My only challenge left is I bought the aires 1/32 F16C cockpit set for the academy kit and now I'll have to careful joint the front pit to the rear pit that comes in the kit. The rear pit is obviously not as detailed as the aires resin front pit as it the rear pit is from the kit. So I'll have to spruce it up a bit to match the front pit detail. I thought about using Eduard sets but Eduard only make an Eduard cockpit for the academy sufa which is obviously a block 52 and the instrument layout would be completely different to a F16D. So I'll have to cut off the rear pit from the kit tub and
  18. Yes I think all set. I haven't built an academy F16 before but s few Tamiya ones. I think the tamiya kit is the better kit but the academy kit should come up all right. I'll pit an ACMI on the right wing tip and an AN/ALQ 188 jamming pod on her belly and she should come up alright
  19. Yes good point. I have an extra sprue of the clear parts so shod be easy put the lights on the struts. I can use a lot of stuff from the Thunderbirds kit and I think the lights are on the struts in the Thunderbirds kit as its a block 32. The whole F16D project popped into my head as I bought the academy sufa simply for the baby JDAMS and I bought the Thunderbirds kit when they were still plentiful. Then I bought all the isracast stuff to convert the Thunderbirds kit into a Sufa. So I didn't know what to do with the academy sufa and as it is a two seater, the F16D idea popp
  20. Yes I will sand down the bulges on the wheel bay doors as I will have the gear down down. So that's not a problem. I just wanted to know there was no obvious differences in the main wheel bay which was easy to see that it was either a heavy landing gear wheel bay or light landing gear wheel bay. But as I understand it, there is no real differences between light and heavy landing gear wheel bays. So if I use the 1.32 aires sufa wheel bay, no one could tell the difference
  21. Thanks Niels for all the info. You are obviously very knowledgable on the viper variants and i appreciate you sharing your extensive knowledge with me. Its great to see a community like the model one where everyone helps out and goes out of their way to share info or help fellow forum members. I have just one more question. In relation to the heavy and light landing gear, did this make any real obvious external differences in the wheel bays? It seems I can only find one 1/32 wheel bay set that is designed to fit the academy F16 and its the sufa wheel bay set. Could I use the s
  22. Hi all I'm wanting a 1/32 academy F18D Hornet rear two seater canopy. I'm happy to buy it from anyone or swap a single seat F18A/C canopy including the parts to make a F18C including aset of F18C tail find with add of F18C aggressor decals. I'll also include a F18C cockpit set. Anyone interested, PM me. I'm based in France but postage would only be about 15 USD. Hope someone can sell me one or do a trade. Cheers
