Yes its a tough road and it tests your passion all the time.I started taking lessons and did my solo some years ago. Then there was a gap in which I completed my M.S ( Aeronauctics) and started working for an airline's engineering training school.I will be coming to US this May for a couple of years to finish my commercial. Flying for the Air Force will remain a dream though as I wear glasses and Air Force ppl are very strict about the phyiscal...so no amount of pleading moved them :D

I am overwhelmed guys. @ Magoo: You are an inspiration ; not only with your brush and paint work but also because of being an aviator. For a person like me who is trying to become an aviator aswell as an artist you are the man. @ Clave: I am not a registered member at this forum.I may be uploading it on the forums of Pakdef.info

Thanks Bill. Yes it is hard to develop tones on this smooth surface but its worth it. To be able to paint a subject is every artist's dream....I am developing my skills right now...and will defitetley paint in future.
5. Here are some of my recently completed sketches.I have started using an almost grainless material which although requires more effort to develop tones but does not gove the grainy effect of a textured paper. I hope you like them. URL=http://img341.imageshack.us/i/t332sqn.jpg/] URL=http://img694.imageshack.us/i/dake.jpg/]
6. I am wondering if the nose of a Mirgae III R can be converted into a nose of a dual seat Mirage III D/DP etc . I ve been trying to find a good 3-view dawing of a later model Dual Seat ( not Mirage III B ) .Does anyone here know where I can find it ?
7. :) I always though the seats were designed to throw one AFT of the aircraft...but doesnt seem to be the case here.
8. The paradox here is that the aircraft was reported to be flying between 50-100 feet AGL and did not develop a steep angle. The wreckage was not documented or diagramed due to crash site being in the marshes. There is however a mention of tail section sticking out.The angle of impact therefore could not be asceratined. I am interested in figuring out if bodies can be found ahead of the wreckage if the aircraft was NOT in steep nose low attitude. Also can we ascertain the aircraft altitude from the fact that it had enough time for SEAT-MAN seperation.
9. A friend of mine came across an old T-33 crash report of a low flying accident in which both pilots were killed some 30 years ago .Whats bothering us is the report ststes that the ejction was initiated and seat-man seperation also took place. However there was not enough altitude for chutes to blossom and bodies were found "forward" of the main wreckage. Can anyone familiar with the ejection system of the aircraft comment on this! specifically 1) Wht could have caused the bodies to be found forward of the wreck rather than aft? ( note: the seats would have remained in the air for enough ti
10. I used various pictures as a refernece ...not just a single one. This variant of Mirage is unique to Pakistan and none of the pics I have capture it from this angle...so I used other mirage III/V pics as a main reference and modify them too loo like a V-PA3.
11. I used a range from 2B through 6B. You are right ...the background is competing with the subject.
12. This is one of the various variants of Dassault Mirage III/V in PAF . This particlular bird belongs to No.8 Sqn based in my town i.e Karachi. I tried to be as technically accurate as poosible in case of the elevon position, Nozzles in AB mode , Aux intakes etc. It is an "OK" effort but was great "STUDY ". Ali
