  1. Thanks. I used Gunze H309 for it, with a few drops of the very light grey paint from the bottom. First time I have used Gunze paints, and I must say I really like them.
  2. Thanks guys. I'm about done with the decals on the USN one. They are Wolfpak, and very nice to work with. I have started the Greek one, which comes with quite a bit of tiny stencils, so that shall take a bit longer.
  3. Very nice. I especially like that Tornado GR.4!
  4. What a nice build. TSgt Gross must have loved it.
  5. Have to paint some small bits, and do some touch ups, and then both Corsairs will be ready for decals.
  6. Some good stuff! I really like the T-33 with the ejection, and the A-3 Skywarrior. And the Sea King, and the Avenger, and the JASDF F-4E, and, and....
  7. Cool stuff, my favorites are the Chevelle and the Gato sub, but all are quality builds!
  8. After the Swift, I finally managed to finish the 1/72 Hasegawa/Revell P-3, in Portuguese markings, using Colorado decals: And finally, although not completely finished yet, the gun is missing, the 1/48 Airfix Lynx Mk.88a in Marineflieger markings: And a sneak peek at what the first one for 2017 will be, the Tanmodel RF-84F with Caracal decals: That's it, thanks for looking. All the best wishes for the new year.
  9. I managed to finish 9 builds this year, a bit below average. Ah well, it's not a race. Starting off with some Vietnam GB builds. The Hobbyboss A-6A Intruder with Hypersonic seats, exhausts, Brassin MER's, Hasegawa Mk.83's and Furball decals: A 1/72 MiG killer threesome, with the Academy F-8E, and the Hasegawa F-4B and F-4J, with decals from an IPMS Nationals sheet and Wolfpak: Moving on to the Hasegawa 1/48 P-51K, done as a Dutch East Indies one, with Flevo Decals: After that I built Italeri's 1/72
  10. Well, have to finish the current builds first, a 1/48 RF-84, and two 1/72 A-7E's. After that I have a Fw-200 and a Tu-2 planned, both 1/72. I also want to build that 1/72 Ventura in the stash, and maybe pick something from the shelf of doom. Maybe something for the helo GB, and of course something nice for the Luftwaffe GB. Ooooh, and that new Tamiya Hien is tempting, too So many options...
  11. Sweet, I guess I will have to give them a try then some day.
  12. Nope, one scheme. The plane just doesn't have symmetric markings: Left side
  13. It depends. Some of their kits come with their own decals. Thick, weird colors, especially red and white. Other kits come with decals printed by Cartograf for instance, which are fine. There is no easy answer here.
  14. Fixed the link for you: Hasegawa did a kit with decals for this one. Look for this boxing. Or, if you want 1/48 instead, TwoBobs did a sheet recently.
  15. I just got an ICM Tu-2 from the hobbyshop, I think I will give that a go as soon as I finish some other builds.
  16. Pete

    Heavies!

Can I build a Fw-200 for this GB? It was big, and it carried bombs, although not a true bomber. It still sank quite a few ships.
  17. Thanks for the review, good info! Have you tried yet how good the paint sticks to the plastic? How easy does it scratch off, or lifts off with masking tape?
  18. And now with the first coat of green:
  19. And we're at the painting stage. The USN one has been painted with Tamiya flat white and ModelMaster enamel Light Gull Grey, the Greek one with Gunze. I first painted it with the paint straight from the jar, then used liquid masking stuff from Humbrol to mask off edges of panels and fasteners etc, and then went over it with a lightened tan. Hopefully it will look a bit like those weathered Greek Corsairs in the end.
  20. If you mean the guy who did they very nice 1/32 builds, he's currently more active over on LSP. His current project is an Aggressor Eagle.
