  1. What Jari means is that a TER has three racks (the bit of the TER that holds the stores), and each rack can hold a maximum of 1000lbs. So a single TER can indeed carry two 1000lbs Mk.83's, provided the pylon on which the TER is mounted on the plane is capable of that weight and/or size.
  2. Photobucket works fine for me. But yeah, there have been some troubles with it in the past few days. Also not sure why the direct [ IMG] links are gone/different now. Nice model!
  3. Those Aires pits are fun, right. The Revell/Monogram F-4C/D kit comes with the AN/ALQ-101 pod that you could use. It also has a AN/ALQ-87 in it, but sadly no -71. Not sure where to find one either.
  4. I can provide you with 8 of them, from the Italeri rebox of the B-25C/D kit. They're on sprue D, which is probably in every version of the kit, as it contains all kinds of bombs.
  5. Well, that's a bit of a bummer then. Oh well, thanks to Brexit I didn't pay that much at least. And if anyone else was considering getting these, you're warned now.
  6. Today I got some 1/48 resin LAU-128's in the mail for a future F-15E build. These are done by a relatively new company called Metallic Details. Out of curiosity, I measured the length of them, and compared it to the length given by the manufacturer here. It appears that the resin ones are about 6mm too short. That's 29 cm's in real life, or almost one foot. I compared them to some Wolfpack ones that I used on an F-15C last year, and those are only a wee bit longer. Am I missing something here, or did Metallic Details (and Wolfpack) really screw things up?
  7. Alright, I finally decided on what to build for this Group Build. After toying with a rather dissapointing Italeri A-26C, and not being sure if a FB-111A would fit into the GB, I have picked the A-7E Corsair. I will be building two at the same time, one will be a US Navy VA-146 one, from 1971 on the USS Constellation, and the other one will be a Hellenic Air Force one, in the SEA scheme. Kits of choice will be the Fujimi ones. I have sprayed some grey on the cockpit bits, photos will be posted once my camera battery has been charged, and when Photobucket gets its act together.
  8. Question. Would a FB-111A fit in the theme of the GB?
  9. What a lovely build. Thanks for sharing.

    F4U-5 Units in Korea?

I did some reading in the Warbird Tech book, and it seems that the F4U-5 was a bit of a problematic plane. It doesn't give a complete list of all the squadrons and their deployements through the years, but it does mention the squadrons and the type they flew in 1950 and again in 1953, and none of the units flying the F4U-5 took it to Korea. Only a few deployments to the Med. VMA-212 did fly it when they were sent to Korea, but they traded them for F4U-4's. Hope this helps.
  11. I have one hazy old pic, from a distance, which shows 3 tanks and at least one CATM-9. Not very exciting, I know.
  12. For a preview, click the little icon above the area where you type, next to the button that says "Size". The little icon that looks like a page with a magnifying glass. To attach pictures, just do it the old school way with posting links to your favorite photo hosting site. You can use the "Insert other media button" in the bottom right corner when creating a post, and select the "Insert image URL" option. Or just use the old copy paste technique.
  13. Hello, While the forum was down, I finally finished my Revell rebox of the Hasegawa P-3 kit. I built mine as a Portuguese P-3P, which is based on the P-3B, so some backdating was required. I used a radome from the Matchbox/Revell Handley Page Halifax kit, with some milliput. Decals are from the kit, Colorado Decals and walkways from an Aussie Decals sheet. Paints are Revell, Humbrol and Tamiya. I started this kit way back in November 2013, so it took me a while. Thanks for looking, I hope you like it.
  14. I started an Italeri A-26C Invader for this GB when the forum was down. I was hoping to build it a French one in Algeria in a nice black scheme, but it turns out the kit decals are for a training unit, and the decals are not particularly accurate anyway. Not very surprising, considering it's an Italeri kit, but still annoying. I'm also not too happy with the kit cockpit, it's all a bit basic. So at this moment I'm not sure if I will continue this kit, or pick something else.
  15. Yes, the GR.4 only has one gun, on the right side, and two chin pods instead of one.
  16. Lots of 50's planes had that grey tail tip. I usually use light gull grey for those. It looks close enough to me.
  17. Some of mine: Fujimi 1/72 A-7D Hobbyboss 1/48 A-10A Academy 1/48 F-4B Academy 1/72 F/A-18D Hasegawa 1/48 P-51D

    Heavies!

I'd like to join in, but not just yet. Have to build some other stuff first. Meanwhile I could pin the usual threads, if you want?
  19. Hmmm, I'm in with a Hasegawa F-111, version yet to be determined. And I think it's time for me to build another 1/48 F-4. Other options include a Greek A-7E, a NF-5A and maybe a Tornado.
  20. So much in the stash to build for this, I don't know where to begin... Hmmmm, NF-5A, F-111 (any version), Harrier, F-84, A-7E (USN or Hellenic), Tornado, F-4 of course... Hmm, decisions decisions...
  21. There's also this guy. Not quite the battery size you're looking for maybe, though.
