  1. Oddly enough (using Opera which I know is really Chrome ) I had the red screen show up and just ignored it and carried on but now it loads up no problem with no red screen, opposite to everyone else, very strange.
  2. I used to occasionally buy the old style, and have bought the odd new style, odd one is the phrase as I won't be buying many as it just doesn't seem good enough value for money, I want to be able to get several sittings in the toilet reading it rather than just the one!! Seriously though it has way too much "white" space even if the pictures are good, if it was thicker you could mistaken it for being a coffee table publication, full of pretty pictures but has no substance
  3. We all have differing opinions anyway, I don't think much of Monty Python!
  4. I found it funny, but then again it is said the British sense of humour is different to the American! Borat: If the film shows Saddam as a buffoon, then why not, propaganda during World War 2 showed Hitler as an idiot?
  5. What about clear lacquer as in the sort that can be bought from car shops? Halfords clear laquer
  6. As long as Airfix continues to prosper I don't give honk what the subjects are at the moment, Airfix, specially in this part of the world, is the only large manufacturer that would churn out a Sea Vixen and the most likely to produce Javelins, Scimitars etc so I'll continue to give support by buying another Lightning (already have a F1) Only thing I'll say about the Gnat is a friend of mine gave me his this year and then the g/f parents got me the starter set Gnat for Christmas, from what I've read so far it doesn't inspire me! Got 2 now and I've got less than 20 kits in total in the stash!!
  7. Fighting Opera's corner here, tried all the others (apart from Chrome) and like Opera the best as for me, it looks good, is fast and very secure, takes a bit of getting used and there are some sites which don't like it but they are getting few and far between now. Also have SpyBot, Malwarebytes, CrapCleaner, Microsoft Security Essentials and Hijack This (http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/) after nasty experience earlier in the year, and no it wasn't anything dodgy!! To me AVG is now too resource hungry (as so many seem to be now) and didn't screen out the experience I got
  8. Hendon is fine, but Hannants is in my opinion a waste of time, hardly anything in there for its size, without Hendon I'd felt "done" if I'd gone to Hannants specifically.... isn't it a franchise now too?

  10. With Vista you can use the snipping tool under accessories in the start menu....... Here's mine, been on a couple of days, brought up on Blake's 7
  11. I'm definitely gonna give it a try, mainly 'cos I have happy memories of the original when I was much much younger!! Hopefully it'll be for the more average "realistic" modeller than the Tamiya mag turned into, had a subscription to it but it seemed to turn into a masterclass of everything, no simple builds
  12. Superb pictures Moose, and heart warming story about Robert Minnick's sister, thanks for sharing
  13. Ask the owner!! Be honest and explain what has happened and describe that you may have let him down and ask if it will cause him grief if you don't buy it, if it does then buy it, if he says don't worry about it make amends anyway by buying something else of similar value, sure it wouldn't be hard lol. Don't own a shop myself but working in one and having things returned (know its not the same as buying or ordering) but I'm more receptive to someone who's honest and up front. The important thing though is to keep good relationship, next time you may not be so lucky in picking up another k
