  3. A U.S. Navy T-45 Goshawk jet from Pensacola Naval Air Station crashed today in an uninhabited area of Jefferson County, said Jim Durwin, assistant superintendent of operations for Tallahassee Regional Airport. Both people inside the T-45 Goshawk jet ejected to safety, said Patrick Nichols with the Department of Public Affairs at Pensacola NAS. He described the plane as a small jet and said both people ejected safely and the plane landed in a swampy area. The plane belonged to NAS Pensacola training squadron 86 Sabrehawks. Nichols said the jet was flying a routine training mission when it w

  6. Tyndall to get T-38 Detachment Panama City - According to U.S. Senator George LeMieux, Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City will soon receive a detachment of ten T-38 Talon supersonic twin-jet trainer aircraft. The ten T-38s will provide dedicated adversary support to the F-22s currently stationed at the base. Loosely, that means the T-38s would simulate enemy aircraft in combat training situations. LeMieux points to the additional jets as an indication that Tyndall’s future is very bright. “This is fantastic news for Tyndall Air Force Base and the Panama City area,†said LeMieux, a m

  10. (CNN) -- The FBI is on its way to Fort Bliss in west Texas to investigate a shooting at a convenience store on the base that left a man dead and two women wounded, according to base spokesman Dieter Jester. The man, who authorities say shot the females, was shot and killed by law enforcement officers on the base. It's unclear what may have been the motive for the shooting or even if the man or his victims are in the military, or are civilians. The police officers who killed the alleged gunman responded within three to four minutes because their offices are very near the base shopping area.
  11. I know that some were loaded out with 'dumb' bombs and others had laser guided bombs but don't recall which target had what.
  12. I think they are talking about the terrorism/hijacking teamwork as the first of its kind.
  13. As far as I know F-35s were never assigned to Tyndall, it was the F-15 drawdown IMO that was the catalyst for an ops squadron to go to Tyndall and replace the F-15s.

  16. I do believe that G restriction is for unmanned (NULLO) Phantoms, manned Phantoms can pull more G's than that. Sorry didn't get very photo happy in the aircraft just took a lot of self portraits and scenery, not much of the panels inside the plane. Thanks all for the great response, it was a blast to get to do and hope its not my last flight that I get to take.
