  4. Actually I do believe they are normally yellow and black its just in this particular aircraft (SN#72-1494) they are a bit dirty. The aircraft I flew in is a Heritage jet that the River Rats patch and pilots name has faded. Ironically I took a picture of this same aircraft back in 2008 at Tyndall

  8. 2nd FS inactivation ceremony "There is no better mission or group of people to command in the U.S. Air Force," said Colonel Burgh. "Growing young F15C pilots for the combat Air Force and helping to develop our instructor pilots into world-class officers was very rewarding. If I had to narrow it down to one thing (I'll miss the most), I'll miss the challenge of bringing all the different pieces together to get a very difficult mission accomplished." 'Bittersweet' ceremony for American Beagles Tyndall Air Force Base has been the home of the 2nd Fighter Squadron, known as the “American Beagl
  9. Well based on reading of local news here in the Florida Panhandle, anglers are already seeing the effects from the oil spill, the state of emergency declaration has been extended south to Sarasota County, and experts estimate the oil slick is about one day away from hitting what's called the Loop Current. Once that happens, the oil could be in the Florida Keys in a week's time. Also a BP rep has been quoted in saying at a local County legislative delegation meeting BP is doing everything humanly possible to disperse the oil.
  10. Thanks for the link, its good working with them while they are here.
  11. With the closing of the 2 FS, the Beagles are inviting all former squadron members to celebrate the proud history of this fighter squadron. For more information see here.
  12. They mentioned on NBC news that history has shown that Katla usually erupts after this one does and the experts in Iceland say there is a good chance Katla will show her teeth.
  13. Would like to say thanks for the comments as well, it was a great airshow. :)
  14. Apparently that specific jet has too many structural issues so its permanently grounded.

  18. That F-15C I think was one that was with its engines removed. I'll look through my pictures to see what I have.
