  1. Thanks Barkin, that's very useful and confirms what I suspected. Logical the Buccaneer and Tornado use the same launcher. If I can't scare up the Flightpath set, I think the AIRFIX Tornado GR.1B kit from a few years ago probably has them. Hopefully I can swing a deal if I can find someone with some spares. Thanks again
  2. I feel a bit like a dummy for not being able to figure this out, but what launcher did the RAF use to sling Sea Eagle ASMs under their Tornados? It's not the more slender ones used with HARM, ALARM or Kormoran but deeper with squared ends. There's nothing like them in the 1/48 Revell or HB kits, and I've looked all over at other kits and aftermarket, but I can't seem to find anything. Closest I've found are in the old Airfix Buccaneer, the lower half of part #98, although I've seen a few older LAUs (such as for Shrike) that are sort of similar.
  3. Thanks for the insight Sergey, particularly about the R-37s. I knew Kazakhstan was interested in them, but didn't know if they were in service. I want to do an updated Kazakh MiG-31 with more modern missiles in 1/48 scale and trying to figure which kit to go with. One of the Hobby Boss kits I think can do any combination of pylons, cockpits and weapons, but I'm very interested in trying one of the AMK kits, but with them it's either one or the other, B or BM. Thanks again
  4. I'm no KAF MiG-31 expert, but I believed the fleet was made up of earlier (B?) models, and were limited to just the single large one-piece (MiG-25ish) pylon on each inner wing station carrying either a single R-40 or a pair-o' R-60s. I recently read a few somewhat recently written articles on the Military Watch Magazine website that state "At least some of Kazakhstan’s MiG-31s have been upgraded to the MiG-31BM standard and equipped with R-77 missiles" So, my questions would be (assuming the upgrade did indeed happen): Did this upgrade include changing to the smaller, two-
  5. Janissary, have you found these parts? I have them if you're still looking.
  6. Here is the 1/48 iteration of the MPM Hobbies Penguins, very fine level of detail, I'm nervous handling it lest I break the fins. Also a pic compared to the Kinetic parts ...
  7. While contemplating a future F/A-18A build, a VFA-132 bird off USS Coral Sea during the aforementioned operation piqued my interest. My amateur research tells me that for part of its role in El Dorado Canyon, CORAL SEA put of six Hornets for the defense suppression mission, each with four Anti-Radiation Missiles, for a total of 24 ARMs. Of those 24 missiles, my research says 20 were AGM-88 HARM and four were AGM-45 Shrike. So, how were those four Shrike distributed amongst the six Hornets? Did one bird carry all four? Did two Hornets have a 2/2 HARM/Shrike mix? I ca
  8. The Revell Eurofighter Typhoon comes with four Meteor. In case you didn't know, the kit offers a wide variety of ordnance so I'm sure there's some Meteors consigned to several spare parts bins. I have the kit but have plans for the missiles Can't vouch for accuracy/fidelity, they were part of the kit since it was released 'bout 15 years ago
  9. MPi ... a fellow inquired about the Weapons Sets before you. He hasn't committed yet so I have you down as next in line. As soon as I hear from him, I'll let you know if they're available. Thanks, Peter
  10. due to the success of the previous sale in December (thanks to all!) and that the Mustang SVO is a money sponge, I'm putting more up for sale. All prices INCLUDE POSTAGE in continental United States. Figure $6-$8 more for postage to Canada for kits, $2-$3 for decals. Would prefer keeping sales to North America. All items are as noted or complete, and 1/48 scale. In order of preference, will take PayPal (with NO MARK-UP for using the service, I will eat the fee), USPS money order, check, or cash. Discount for multiple purchases. Prices listed after items in packages are for individual items
  11. Let's give this puppy another bump, just for the 'ell of it.
