  1. They suggested it for Search and Rescue in Canada...... V-22 For Canada SAR? Mark
  2. Unfortunately last years demo was a updated one, updated seat too. Which might have helped in the ejection. cheers Mark
  3. Here are some pics, looks good, and a 409 bird too! 2011 CF-18 Demo - Mark
  4. Going to a mess dinner (Wing Grad) and celebrating in fine Air Force fashion! Going to hate tomorrow though.
  5. Umm ok, rrrrrriiiiggghhhttt That was definitely fanboy, look here is another one: Of course they did, - Mark
  6. Thanks guys! The decals this time around are thin but very strong. The biggest decal is the one that stretches from the back of the cockpit all the way to the tail. I had no problem repositioning it many times to get the right position, all without ripping. cheers Mark
  7. Troll statement of the night... My girls like Kinectanimals, and Dance Central... lol Wii wannabe AKA Sony Move, at least the Kinect is more original. ummm ok? Whatever makes you fanboys sleep at night.... Sure you haven't troll, I mean fanboy, I mean Gregg. I will not feed the troll, going to play KZ3 instead, ID CAF-Grail007 Good night!
  8. Are you talking about the Sony Move when talking about a toy? What is up with the poof colours? I guess you don't have to have support behind it to achieve a world record? Kinect sells 10 million, sets new record Move not so much: Kinect out-selling Move by 5:1 margin
  9. I don't know about better graphics, I have both consoles and I honestly can't tell the difference. PSN may be free but xbox Live runs much more smoothly thats why xbox has a bigger online crowd. If you are playing Call of Duty more people prefer the 360. Kinect is pretty neat, its amazing what they can do now without a controller. HD opinion? The bigger the better, for future game add-ons, if you want to listen to your own soundtrack while playing, download movies, etc.
  10. Here is the Hobby Boss landing gear with corrected shocks. LGBs for the Balkan Rat almost done. After a few days of on and off again decaling the top is almost done. Another view, flat coat has not be applied yet so some decals still have a slight shine to them. Thanks for looking! Mark
  11. I didn't get the rash the other guys did though, but I did get a bruise on my left leg (outside). Besides that it wasn't bad I guess I have a good g-tolerance. I rode it to 5 on the gradual without any symptoms. -Mark
  12. I think its about time for an update just got back from Toronto, riding on DRDC's centrifuge was fun! So pylons are done for the Balkan Rat: Landing gear and pylons attached The Tiger Meet jet resanded and repainted with a more accurate shade of 35237, more closely matches the Balkan Rat bird. Another angle: The new Tiger Meet decals from Leading edge are great, from this: To this: Next up the top side of the Tiger Meet jet decaled, landing gear rebuilt and LGB for the Balkan Rat

  14. Large land mass and small population? - Sounds like Canada. But unlike Canada you don't have the biggest military next door for people to use as an excuse for not spending on the military. Australia is all by itself you guys need a good military. Better to have it and not need it than to be wishing you did have it and don't. All jet are expensive, Australian's should know that for 24 Super Hornets you paid $3 billion to acquire them and another $3 billion for support for 10 years. So in comparison to our Canadian Pariliamentry Budget Office's report of the cost of the F-35 ,which many v
  15. To be more specific I think it was around $12 billion in lost contracts for the initial run of consortium aircraft - about 3000. Any other country that buy it in the decades following estimated at 1500+ will provide more work above this initial amount of work for these Canadian Companies. Another thing the opposition doesn't mention is the cost of opening up competition. Depending on how long that would drag on and the very likely possibility of the decision going to the courts, as the losing company would protest the decision, it could be another $500 million. So as you see it is a lo
  16. Hi Ken! Nice build so far, a question though where do you get those clear rods supporting the jet? A local store or is there someplace on-line? I am thinking of doing the 2003 TigerMeet CF-18, or 2009 Demo Bird with a HobbyBoss kit I have and it is going to be gear up. Thanks in advance Mark
  17. I was at the Airshow in Moose Jaw Sk when the father died, that was very sad, and probably avoidable too. Good to hear these two survived the crash and I hope them a speedy recovery. -Mark
  18. The current government which is a minority government (so it has to work with one of the other parties to pass legislation) has done a lot to speed up the how fast we acquire military equipment. I think I heard on average it took 100 months to buy some new kit, now they are down to on average 50 months. This is due to the "legacy" left by the former government to let equipment rust away without replacement. We refer to the 1990s the decade of darkness for the Canadian military. So lately we have bought C-17s, C-130Js, F model Chinooks, there is a new ship building program in place. Many o
  19. In other news the Canadian Parlimentary Budget Office has put out a report saying the cost of the 65 F-35s will be $28 billion, the government is sticking with it original quoted price about $18 billion. You can read the report as there is a link in this article: Click There are some questionable analysis in the report, the biggest problem I have with it is they didn't have a way to figure out the price of the jets so they used historical analysis and weight of the aircraft. For example in 2010 one KG of jet will cost $10,000 so they take the basic weight of a fighter and multiple it by
  20. Nice find, I will have to show one of my instructors this, he was a Buc pilot for years. He has some good tales about his flying in the RAF. cheers Mark
  21. Great job, the spotlight looks great, and its nice to see another Balkan Rat. The shade of the vegetation in the background is too green though, photoshop? cheers Mark
  22. lol That wasn't Alice Cooper singing?
  23. That is good news finally the USAF will get those new tankers. The execs at Airbus have probably grown tired of the legal battles and their cost. Now they can focus on making aircraft and pursueing other deals. cheers Mark
