  1. Hi Mike, I am also wanting to do the trio of Heavies and I am currently 70-80% through build the FM Halifax OOB, I also have two Tamiya Lancasters and you guessed it the Sanger Sterling! Can I ask where you got your plans for the Stirling and whether you would interested in selling, swapping or trading for a vac canopy once you have finished your master? I will be watching this thread with great interest as I am hoping to dig into the Stirling during my Christmas break.

    FM's 1/48 Halifax

    I have complete about 70% of the FM Halifax - I have the wings completed and the tail fins completed along with the cockpit areas. I just need to get the major subassemblies together! It is a real modelling experience that I quite enjoyed and in many ways it is equivalent to a vac form (but not as good as Dynavector or Echelon). The instructions are atrocious as none of the parts numbered in the plans are numbered on the sprue gates. Beware that the two central wing strengtheners are there - they are part of the sprue gates.   3. Hi, First the first time I have an issue where the Miliput has not hardened properly (this is after 72 hours) making it very difficult to sand! Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom regarding any other method of hardening the Miliput? Thanks for reading about my problem. Regards
  4. Hi Darius, It did in fact do a small air display Saturday and Sunday at Shoreham, in fact it was for 4 minutes only. Pretty cool all the same! Do you go to any local model clubs as I am also in the area and are now back into the hobby?
  5. Hi, Well I am the sucker who ended up paying 373 pounds for the Vulcan (Interesting that the two people that really bumped the price where sellers - seems a little strange to me. I was not in for the last 2 hours of the auction and stupidly left the max bid at 400 pounds. Sucker!). The good news is that I am planning to build it and have already started outlining the parts etc. I just have to finish the Fisher Panther and the Tamiya F4-J (as a RAF F4-J).
