  1. Right click on this Awesome piece of info there, Matt. Thanks a lot.
  2. I wholly concur, my Deustche fella; it's got the "Rushed In Kit 101" course smeared all round.
  3. Cracks are always owing to inefficient packaging; take a good look at how cramped parts are inside the box. As for "Kvalita lisovania čelného štítku", the wife says it's bad quality of moulding of the clear windshield. Why it doesn't surprise me at all? Only fools rush in.
  4. Nice one, Sean! This kit is a lot easier than the old Monogram 1/48 kit. I had to sand down all of the raised panel lines on it, but without erasing the rivets on the skin. I recall I used a 2mm chisel that Micro-Mark still have available today - I'm speaking of 20 years ago! I had to purchase a resin engine, propeller, cockpit, vac-form canopy, wheels and decal set for that build. The assembly of the undercarriage and the wing-to-fuselage join still gives me the creeps nowadays... Thing I liked the most about the old Monogram kit was the folded wings, which hinges of course I d
  5. Curt, Look up for Spencer Pollard build video on YouTube. It'll make the whole assembly of the fuselage feel like a breeze.
  6. My sweet wife is, habu. She just translated "Prepadliny na čelnom štítku nedostrieknuté rámovanie čelného štítku, kaz (prasklina) na hlavnom prekryte" in the first picture for me. Says the windshield has not only cracks, but it also lacks the frame. And also that the canopy has an awful crack. What was that again, hun...? Oh, she will no longer translate for me any more.
  7. Hi Sean, Going fine! It's quite a nice kit. Yesterday I've found a publication on evilBay of the Classic Airframes 1/48 Sea Venom FAW.21 kit. $120 Up next?? The HpH 1/48 Buff kit...?
  8. In any case, you, or anyone for that matter but either Sio or Martin, are no-one to be telling me this. It's what it is.
  9. Naaaaaaaaaahhh... really? So, Martin; how would you explain your having gone silent from this thread? And the Facebook Fandom page farce then?
  10. OH MY GOD...! I certainly am! Right now I'm converting the HIGHLY ACCURATE Airfix 1/48 Hawker Hunter F.6 kit into a two-seat T.7 version, using the excellent Aerocraft Models conversion set. Incidentally; Aerocraft is a one-man venture who never asked modellers to commit economically first in order to release this beautiful set. And he released in due time and proper course.
  11. That's quite understandable, Ricky, as my manners just come to prove how much of a nice guy I am. Everybody will tell you so. Point taken, but if so, please tell me how many or what other manfacturers have ever sworn to you how accurate their future release was going to be that the kit would come with working heat-seeking missiles in 1/48 scale that you just HAD to commit in a pre-order scam and all of the lame drama which ensued after reality finally hit home to you...? See, that's why you're not off the grid, living in the boondocks and writing creepy manifestos, I
  12. Very nice, Alex! Could we please see a picture showing the underbelly correction bit from the side?
  13. You don't know who Zactoman is? Thought I'd just read you say that you did read almost all the comments about your inaccuracy on the previous page. Too curious that you hadn't seen him post the most interesting and proven input on this thread so far with regard to your inaccuracy. Never mind, Sio. It doesn't matter any more. Not at all, believe me.
  14. Oh, hi I've never caused any trouble at all either to you or Martin on your Facebook page. Why does asking genuine questions mean causing trouble to you I can only but surmise. I don't even do Facebook, for starters, and bothered to use my wife's account because that seemed the only option to have a chat with you when you stopped answering on ARC. You know, that would help a lot, judging that there already is a modeller on here who's awfully experienced on modelling design, who's trying to figure out the inaccuracy on the rear end. This could as well have been your h
  15. Darren, that's precisely the quid of the matter; the "Just Build It" won't mix with the "Rivet Counters", hence the unnecessary insult hurling. I'm not into insulting anyone. I infer that the "Just Build It" crowd oughtn't even care to come to this thread to see what it's posted regarding the AMK kit at all. They should be okay building the kit with all of their issues, just as it is. Why bother coming in here to see what it's being posted? It's the "Rivet Counters" who have been waiting the releasement of this kit with the most expectancies for I don't know how long, because they ca
  16. i.e., "don't show just how fat the rear hinds are?". Yesterday that I rejoiced my day off work, my wife out to work and only the dog to nag about, I was having some fun with the Heatblur F-14B on DCS. The simulation showed how well they've nailed the rear end on their rendition of the aircraft, I was wondering why AMK was such an epic fail. Only trouble is Jester keeps on going AWOL as soon as he thinks his life's in danger; filled the Heatblur forums with complaints regarding this and some of the members there started defending the firm. It suddenly reminded me of some of you here d
  17. Now THIS I'm interested in; do you mind elaborating on how to fix the rotor issue in the Kitty Hawk UH-1N, Dave? Is this issue carried out in the UH-1D kit as well?
  18. Okay then? Don't complain when you pay the butcher in advance for some fine sausages, and then you're handed with cheap bologna. Don't complain, Sal; just dooooooon't complain. Blame my double post on Mr Salomon above.
  19. Meaning you need more becauses from me?
  20. I think that we didn't complain because: first, there is no manufacturer going by the name of Trumeterp...? Secondly, perhaps Trumeterp wouldn't have incurred in the marketing campaign HORROR that the AMK Tomcat kit was? Thirdly, perhaps Trumeterp wouldn't have affirmed that their Su-34 was going to be so good that the kit would bring working jet engines, right from the start? Fifthly, because Trumeterp hadn't impossed a 5000-mark pre-order prerrogative scam to then disappear from this forum, only to reappear on Facebook to make a pathetic farce of their own? Sixthly, becau
  21. That's quite a smart move, Solo. Congratulations on a very good decision. It makes one less frustrated modeller who only got sold a shapeless, infamous and lame cloud-of-smoke hype - with beautiful dirty wings, that is. Had I been in the AMK camp, I'd have cancelled the F-14D kit flop forever and had just released the dirty wings as a set for the Tamiya kit instead, in order to try and compensate for the awful losses. The dirty wings and the ordnance crap. But that's just me.
  22. Chris is one fella that deserves respect - that's for sure. The fat hinds issue is what puts me off the most with regard to the purchasing of the AMK kit, so if Mr Wilson is able to come up with a fix for that, I'll personally build a monument in his honour. Oh-la-la... Those wings are as sweet as my wife's rump!
  23. Kitty Hawk's kit hands down. The Hobby Boss kit forward fuselage/windshield joint and shape look exactly like the old KoPro kit. Also, the oval shape of the forward fuselage in the Hobby Boss kit is pure fictional. As for the engineering of the Kitty Hawk, Spencer Pollard has a video on YouTube which shows a way to put together the fuselage sections with no trouble at all. However, the Cold War Studio fixes (nose cone intake and belly correction) are mandatory for the Kitty Hawk kit. Edit: is the shape on the Hobby Boss forward fuselage oval or squarish...? An oval square
  24. Nice! If anybody wants to part with their AMK Tomcat kit dirty wings, please PM me. I'd gladly pay for them - just to show you that I like the AMK kit, some.
  25. A Tomcat kit worth $17, Ventris? I'm afraid you've lost me there. What's that? Do Kip still sell their self-adhesive aluminium tape over there in sweet Germany?
