Priming greasy plastic from trumpeter and kitty hawk
Julien (UK) replied to Chuck4's topic in General Discussion
You could treat it like resin and wash with a bleach solution. Its strange I have a kitty hawk kit and the plastic is not greasy at all. Julien -
Yep, no problems :) I remember back in Germany the USAF put a vehicle through a farm house doing a LAPES drop! Julien

Making the Switch from Enamels to Acrylics
Julien (UK) replied to Marcel111's topic in Tools 'n' Tips
I spray lifecolor, xtracrylix and vallehjo all thinned with vallehjo airbrush cleaner. This contains a small ammount of ethylene glycol and it retards the paint. Even though vallehjo model air say it can spray from the bottle I still find it needs a little thinning. I have some gunze to ry as a couple of guys I know says its excellent, though this does need its own thinner. Julien -

The F1 was in serivce for a long time, so the seats probably got updated in appearance even if it was the same MK4 underneath. The pics on prime portal seem to show a seat with new parts on it, there is no wear marks at all on the black parts they look brand new. Ejection Seat color has some pics of a F1 seat for Spain which look like they come from the AF museum and they look like the wolkpack pics you posted, maybe an older seat? Same could be said of the cockpit set. The prime portal pics show a large multi function display, that does not look very old, could the pavla set be for an older

Thunderbirds season canceled as of april 1
Julien (UK) replied to Wayne S's topic in General Discussion
The thing is its all to do with politics. What's a way of getting headline news for the various forces? cut that which in first in the public view. We get the same thing in the UK where the RAF trot out grounding the Red Arrows when more savings are on the table. It gets such a public outcry that the Prime Minister actually said as long as he's in the job they will stay. Generals / Admirals etc spend more time politicking than they do anything else these days. Julien -
I took these at Duxford Old Matchbox kit (x2) built for a bit of fun; Julien

They do some nice decals, and also have good customer service. Julien

They could do, it would just cost $30 million, be 3 year late and look like this; Julien

I have had original blue tac leave a mark on matt paint. If you get white tac this does not leave a mark. Got a 10 pack of Amazon for a steal and its lasting well. Julien

Agree with you on the hershey's. That stuff is BAD, quite like Oreo's though, I find hob nobs way to sweet. Julien

Vallejo do a series of small detail brushes, I have been using them for a while and they hold up well to acrylics and enamels. For larger areas I do use sable, but these hobby brushes do work for smaller areas without that expense. Julien
