The old monogram kit is I agree a nice one. The revell one in the box with the Luftwaffe box art is Hasegawa's very nice F-86F-40 with a set of resin wingtips to make a Sabre 6. Worth getting if you want either a sabre 6 or F-40 as both are getting hard to find. Julien

Yes, there are a couple of G-91R's on poles painted in Frecce colours, suspect they used one of them. You never know there might be a pointy bit in the box, if not its not hard to make it. Julien

Some decal sheets have them in Black, and some in insignia blue. Is there any time frame, air frame etc to say when they were which colour? Cheers, Julien

The thing with AMS is they will not use the normal post service for overseas orders. They use a courier and their prices reflect this. You have to factor this into buying from them. I have got a few things from them when not been able to find them any where else. One thing I will say is the shipping might be expensive but its fully trackable and I have never had any issues with them. Julien

Hannants do ADC Grey in enamel and acrylic. I cant vouch for the acrylic but the enamel gives great results. Julien

If anyone is interested airfix have re-tooled the Hawk. http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=234923401 They are getting better with every release. I think what we "modellers" fail to get is with the pricing they are aiming these at the younger modeller and could probably not give a fig what we think. Check out the new Lynx and the Merlin if you want to see kits aimed at "modellers". Hornby did exactly the same with their Trains. They have entry level stuff and enthusiast level stuff. Finally finished this one. Airfix club kit. Overall a nice kit from aifix, fit generally good. Did not like the wheels and some of the sprue attachment points for the smaller parts were way to big. Only my second 109 as I normally do jets. My only other 109 to date was the matchbox one, and that was the very first model I built! I just liked the idea of this one in British camo. main paints are xtracrylix while the prop was painted using a very old tin of humbrol (you know the ones which smell good ) finished with Vallejo matt varnish. Still makes into a nice model show here after the
