  1. To me it's a cleaner look without the loops around the planes. The ones I am going to hang are some of my earlier 1/144 builds that I have duplicates of in 1/72.
  2. Thanks Steve, but if I had room to hang them on the wall I would be putting a shelf up there. I found a cool idea though. Take a hot needle and poke holes in the appropriate spots and then crazy glue fishing line or thread in them and it is a lot cleaner look than wrapping it around the wings and fuselage.
  3. I am running out of space on my shelves and am thinking of hanging some of my models and was wondering if anyone has a good idea of how to do it other than fishing line. TIA, Lee
  4. Great job on the CF-5s!! Do you remember what 'green' you used on them? Cheers, Lee
  5. I PM'd you last week and you haven't replied. Can you please check your messages. Cheers, Lee
  6. I believe he is referring to the crash of a P-51 in Britain last year which also carried the name Big Beautiful Doll.
  7. I usually prime the model first to get an even colour and then use a rattle can to do the white. Like skyhawk174 said, do it with flat white and then a couple of coats of gloss. I rarely use gloss paint anymore. It seems to take forever to dry and a couple coats of future brings the shine to it. Lee
  8. How about a combo F-15/F-18 sheet. 1/72 of course.
  9. I believe I am already in and I will add a 1/72 Leading Edge '410 Squadron CF-18 RCAF 75th Anniversary Scheme' sheet #72.16. Lee
  10. Thanks for the help, one of your links mingwin was a great help for the detailing above the engines and behind the wing. I think that is where the most work has to be done. Cheers, Lee
  11. Well, at least one person thinks they have a solution for Canada's fighter problem. http://ottawacitizen.com/news/national/defence-watch/its-time-for-the-rcaf-to-buy-used-u-s-a-10-warthogs
  12. I had saved a thread of someone converting a B-1B to a B-1A and now the link doesn't work anymore. Does anyone have this saved or know where the thread got to? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Lee
  13. Very nice video, thank you. One question though, the anti-collision lights on the wings seem to be sticking up quite a bit to be stealthy. Is this the way they are all the time or is it more to give a return on radar during training missions. I noticed the same thing on the F-22 but was told by the ground crew that this was the way it is all the time. Cheers, Lee
  14. count me in too. I will take a look in the stash.
  15. Earlier this spring I made a deal with Devilleader501 for a model and sent him a MO. Things took a while(a death in his immediate family) but on June 25th he said he was going to ship the package. I still haven't received anything and he has not responded to any correspondence with me. Also his last activity on the board was July 7th. Does anyone know if he is still around? It just seems a little weird that he dropped off of ARC, as he was quite active on the message boards. Cheers, Lee
  16. How about the 318th FIS out of Mchord AFB.
