  1. I don´t like this, why do they produce this, that...? It sucks they didn´t do another Messospitstang. There is a bunch of modellers among the 160 mio people in Russia, that sure as hec will appreciate this kit coming out... It won´t require rocketscience to figure out they couldn´t care less what the doomsayers here say, Matt
  2. Hello, Marine F-4J Phantom (3) 153838 DW/14 VMFA-251 MCAS Bristol Beaufort 1972 I have tried finding any pics of this Phantom, but ended up with nothing.. It´s on Aeromaster sheet no 48547 "Phancy Phantoms V". Appreciate any pics or guidance where to find. An F-4 with similar paintscheme would also do.. reg Matt
  3. Hi, Weren´t there Academy rumours of an F-4B also in 1/48, as well as the F-5 a couple of months ago !! ?? To sum up from the catalouge, there seems to be NO new toolings in 1/48 Aircrafts, for 2010...correct ? reg Matt
  4. Hi, Awesome build... Did you have any problems with the TAM decals ? From experience they are thick, but this looks like aftermarket decals Has Tamiya improved in the decal area latley ? reg Matt
  5. Hi, Not being a Tornado expert, I do however plan to build a Saudi Tornado. Will I go wrong with the desert bird if I buy the first version that HobbyBoss now has available ? reg Matt
  6. Looks great. How is the kit so far ? Any problems ? reg Matt
  7. Thanks guys.. I will buy the QF-4S and use the F-4S decalsheet from Aeromaster that I have. reg Matt in Sweden
  8. HI, I can´t seem to find a Hasegawa F-4S..... I can however get hold of the HAS QF-4S... Would this be the same as an F-4S or would I miss out on anything in the kit not making it a pure S version ? Don´t know too much about phantoms and didn´t find anything in the huge F-4 thread above. Thanks Matt in Sweden
  9. Hi, Would this be a new tool or is Italeri using the old Minicraft/Academy tooling ? Seems strange if it is new since Hasegawa released their own recently. reg Matt
  10. I´m all in for a new tool F-14.... Why wouldn´t it sell like everything else that´s coming out ? More complex and expensive - yes. But look at all the Tomcat fans out there. In comparison, Hasegawa released the new tool Draken in 1/48 that isn´t 20% as popular or worldwide known.. I have the Academy one, and indeed the nose looks way off.. The Hasegawa of course, but that one is for immortals from what I´ve heard. I had hoped for Revell, but that didn´t happen apparently.... Tamiya then... ? Don´t know the issues with their 1/32 piece if they wanted to scale it down. reg Matt
  11. Kit and scale ? Is this the Academy kit ? nice looking.
  12. Simply awesome !!! I´m getting myself that decalsheet as well. great job Matt
  13. Suffers from the same problems as their B-24... You have to mount M.G´s and windows from the inside, before mounting the fueselage... The eingeneer at Academy who invented this, I take it must have been fired for this idiotic solution...Chances are high windows will be pushed in or M.G´s broken off during remainder of the long build and paint process.. Hasegawa has learned this with their He-111, recent B-24 and so forth.... However their B-17 is accurate, but till out of date with raised panel lines. ACA B-17´s have serious issues with wing dihedrals as well. Pointing too much upward. Pl

    B-24

Academy B-24 windows and guns... What scares me the most about the Aca kits is the fact that all windows and guns need to be mounted from the inside, before joining the fueselage...... I would break every gun and surely push a few windows through to rattle inside the aircraft during the remainder of the build !!! What was that engineer thinking about ??? Or is there anyone who has built the ACA B-24 that knows if all clear parts/ guns can indeed be glued from the outside ?? Hasegawa has learned this. Hope they squeeze out a brand new B-17 and a Halifax in 1/72 QUITE SOON !!! REG Matt in
  15. Could somebody sort out it for me, once and for all wheather the Has Fw-190 A-5, and their recently released A-8, both have nothing to do with with the Dragon/ Trimaster machine or not !! Fellow modellers claim them to be newly tooled, scaled down from their 1/32, while others say - continued cloned Dragon / TM machine. I know their A-3, A-4 originiate from the Dragon molds, although somewhat reviesed. Over at HLJ, Dragon is mentioned in the Has A-8 presentation, though not fully understood if it´s their molds or not. Thanks Matt
