1/48 HH-60H Rescuehawk detailing project

Also note that one of the collectives broke off as did the handle for the cabin door, I will add them back latter, little things always break! -

Had some trouble with the PE parts at the bottom of the seats (the X snap wires) they don't really fit right since they are supposed to line up with the tie downs and the are not long enough on the bottom and too long on the top. Oh well not going to try and re-do them now. Thanks for looking, Everett -

Hey guys, ready to close up the fuselage, interior is all installed, painted and last details added. I had to add the curved panels to the roof for example as a last step (just some curved plastic sheet) and some extra weathering, in the sandy environments these Helos fly in they get some brown staining on the edges of everything and the floor of course. Now the really work begins on the doghouse detailing..... '' -
Something my buddy shot and voiced years ago when he was in the Air Force Armed Forces Network, we worked together in Denver TV news more recently. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/cWqvv8LcJds" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Hey guys, been a long time, too busy with kids, work and snowboarding. I am almost done painting the cabin but had to take a bit to scratch build all the stick and collectives along with the FLIR controller. The parts out of the box are no good and only one of the collectives was used as a basis to add to, and no FLIR controller at all in the kit. As you can see lot's of tiny little buttons I added were stretched sprue (blue color helps) and even some Tamyia tape for the boots and such. Soon I will post the rest of the cabin pics when it's all painted and weathered, then I can join the fuselag -
It flew by a week ago, just now getting around to sharing, I think it's out of WY one of the Nuclear missile bases, it was flying south maybe to Peterson AFB? You can see it has a FLIR in the nose too. Everett

Hey guys, been ages I know, been very busy racing my snowboard, had my best results so far last weekend at a North America Cup, 15th in GS and 12th SL. For you non-alpine snowboard racers the Nor-am is the US pro tour, and a world cup qualifier, my goal at the start of the year was just to make top 30, let alone get into finals (top 16 men) so having a good year so far. I am also the only 40 year old at the race, most of the riders are half my age! Alright the model, here is the finished scratch built interior that I have been chipping away at. As you can see lot's of detail made from everg -
Love it! Very cool build, never heard of it either, great subject. I guess that is one way to shroud your exhaust! Thanks for sharing, Everett

Looking awesome! Wish I could see those pics of the blades too, by the way go with Photobucket I like that site way better than Flickr, it's easier to use and I hate how Flickr blocks right clicking and saving- what's the point of sharing the pics if you don't want anyone to have them? I say that as someone who is a professional Videographer and I make money by how many people watch our videos and can understand why some people don't want their photos ripped off, but again don't put them out there! Anyways keep up the awesome work, stunning stuff. Everett -

Hi everyone, here are some walk around shots I got yesterday at the Rocky Mountain Airshow at Jefferson County Airport here in Denver. I talked a lot of the pilots into opening up some panels for me to get detail shots. A big thanks to Brandon who flew the T-6 and is a modeler himself and a fan of ARC too, he takes the prize for all access to the Texan II! Right click and enjoy, Everett T-6 Texan II http://s121.photobucket.com/albums/o217/evnewsphoto/T-6%20Texan%20II/ T-45C Goose hawk http://s121.photobucket.com/albums/o217/evnewsphoto/T-45C%20Goosehawk%20walkaround/ C-130H http://s121.p

What do you need? I found walk arounds on Prime portal and another on photobucket that I found in a google search. Also the Navy newsstand is a great place to look and I check there all the time for new pics. I also have gotten some great help from a guy who works at the factory and I am sure he could help you too, the problem is the H model has not been made there for 10years plus so it's mostly pics of Romeos or Sierias now. You can email me if there is a specific pic you need I might have it. evnewsphoto@yahoo.com Let me know if I can help, Everett

Here is a built Wessex; http://img.inkfrog.com/click_nelarge1.orig.php?image=DSC03824.JPG&username=ghostdivision88&aid=446834732 nthe guy is selling it on ebay but it looks like a great kit, just wish I hadn't wasted $55 buying the Revell kit a year ago before it was re-released! Everett

For my current project using the same kit; http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=250109 I overlayed reference photos with a photo of my model and my ruler so I could measure where the rivets where and then using cut and paste in Paint move it around to check placement. It's not 100% perfect but it helped me a lot. Everett

Cool project, as a Denverite (Morrison CO to be precise) I look forward to seeing the CO ANG bird, can you share that artwork you have? I am building a HH-60H right now in 1/48th so go Blackhawks! Everett -

Well guys, I am turning back inside the cabin and realized I had to paint the electrical junction box and glue it in first, so here it is; Now I can start building up the interior walls and the roof, it's going to be a lot of work since the Rescue hawks (as well as the Ocean hawk and Jay hawks) all have a thick, blue, smooth surface that has lot's of indented stuff like the winch controls next to the door for example, and the roof has radio switches and mounts for the seats cutout. I think it must be for soundproofing but not sure. Everett -
That rocks! I love the rivets! What stunning work! Everett

Hard to get time in on the model but here is a few things I have been up to, first is the refueling panel; Correcting APU exhaust and building up area near HISS Same build up on the other side WIP; Been doing lot's of test fitting with HISS which I cut up and have been trying to get to look right also. More to come when I can get to it, Everett -
As said above, dreams do come true! Awesome! I have the old Revell kit of the Navy version that I was going to convert but this looks so much better, when can I order one? I might have to shelve my HH-60H project for a while and build this. Everett

Oliver, you snuck that in while I was posting, good to hear from you! I thought about painting it then installing but I am trying to be better about glue and I find it makes for a cleaner build if I paint after it's in. At least I've got the open panel to paint through. Everett
