I'm going on Sunday. -
Here's some potentially good news. I just bought a Zacto A-7 set from the secondary market, obviously for more than Chris would sell it for. What that means, with the way my luck usually goes, is that Chris will solve his canopy problem and have the set for sale again within six months. At least we can hope so.

Yeah....saw that. Kinda not surprised, considering what I have seen some of the discontinued Cutting Edge stuff go for.

Did you look at the bid history? It started yesterday morning around 10:00. Starting bid was $19.95. It took about 7 hours and 9 bids to get it up to $202.50. Looks like the 1st bidder really has to have this. I need one too, but wow.... I'm just hoping Chris will find a way to get this back on the market.

I have a Badger "Million Air" silent compressor. It uses a synthetic oil that for years I have bought from Squadron under the Badger brand. That compressor has been discontinued from Badger, and I recently went to Squadron to buy some more oil, but they show out of stock, which lead me to google for another source. I have found some synthetic compressor oils at places like Lowe's and Home Depot, but they are not the Badger brand. http://www.lowes.com/pd_221009-56167-16-KSCO_0__?productId=3652078 There's a lot of knowledgeable folks here, and I'm wondering if anyone might know if I

I intend to buy one for my Sufa kit, regardless. It's already miles ahead of what Academy supplies anyways....

Just a suggestion Chris - I recent bought a conversion from Werner's Wings for an Avia S-199 that includes some beautiful vac canopies. I believe Floyd Werner farmed that work out. Perhaps contacting Floyd to see where he had that done? Just an idea...

Don't know if it's worth your while, but some wheels for the 1/32 Trumpeter MiG-15 and MiG-17F kits would be nice.
-
Yeah, I'll pile on here too. I'd be happy with a partial kit minus the vac parts.

If you go to any of their pages, there should be instructions at the top of each page. As pointed out, they have a bad problem with spam over there, and from time to time they accidentally "ban" some people.

Buy an already-started kit on ebay, and finish it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/400631579047 :)

Does anyone think the "Bunny Club" is remotely cute?
Kalashnikov-47 replied to Jennings's topic in General Discussion
I remember that. I took that bunny cartoon as pointing fun at themselves. Initially, they did push back against the critics, but but once they realized they were indeed in error, they retooled those canopies, and handed them out, free of charge, to anyone who asked for one, plus a one-time 20% discount. First time I ever saw that bunny character, he was measuring a '109 in a haphazard manner. I understood that to mean that they too, had originally measured in a haphazard manner. -
I'm going on Saturday..... I don't know how long the news has been out, but I'm dismayed that Me 262 and Mosquito won't be there. Still, it'll be an enjoyable day out. It's the only airshow within driving distance this year.

Yes. Hopefully come closure for the Brown family after all of these years. -
Hey Sean - Yes, those are Suez 1956 ID stripes. I bought this kit when it first came out, and originally intended to finish it as one of George Preddy's "Cripes-A-Mighty" aircraft. The surface detail is pretty heavy-handed, but it still had the potential to be better than the old Hasegawa kit with a little work. When the excellent Tamiya kit come out, I got one and decided to finish that one as Preddy's airplane. Since I spent so much money on the Dragon kit + the aftermarket stuff, I figured it could be built as some camouflaged aircraft, and the Israeli was a perfect choice IMHO.

I just found an old Monogram B-52 kit that I forgot I had. The kit decals are missing. I was wondering if anyone knows of any aftermarket decals that were made for this it. I'm aware of an old SuperScale sheet, but it's highly unlikely I'll ever find that. I've checked ebay and Hannants to no avail. Any information or help obtaining some would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks...... - Patrick
