  1. I have just purchased in amongst a bulk lot of already made kits a 1/32 Matchbox Sea Venom. Although already built it is a sad condition and will be going into a bleach bath shortly in order to strip the existing paint etc so I can start a "restoration". Whilst it is missing a few bits restoration is viable. However I will need some decals for it. I know the decal sheet had three options, one of which was for an Australian Navy bird. That is the one I am looking for. (or alternately an Australian Navy option form one of the other, aftermarket sheets that are available. So, if you have built th
  2. If you still have those Mirage clear sprues, I would be interested as I picked up a couple of Mirages (already built - poorly and requiring rebuild and clear parts) for a diorama. You can contact me directly on scott@historyaustralia.org.au

  3. Unable to supply you with wings or nacelles BUT on the same topic I am looking for a 1/48 Herc fuselage from a trashed kit so I can use it to make the fuselage plugs for the 130-J stretch version that the RAAF flies. The kit I have is for the non-stretch version. ozgenie Melbourne, Australia
  4. I have an as yet unmade kit of the C-130J hercules and want to build it up as a C-130J of the RAAF. The kit is of the non-stretch version whilst the RAAF flys the stretch version. If anyone has a surplus C-130 fuselage in 1/48 (even a damaged one) I would appreciate talking swap/buy details. Thanks Scott
  5. I soak them in common household bleach for a day or two. Much less toxic than oven cleaner or brake fluid. Seems to work OK for me.
  6. I soak the model overnight (or 2) in common household bleach. Works a treat.
  7. I am currently building a 32 scale Starfighter (kit purchased through Ebay) and have realised there are no wheels with it ? Any one have a set of wheels for the starfighter that are prepared to discuss a swap ?
  8. Hi folks, I am still looking for a set of 1/32 Starfighter wheels if any one out there has any ?
  9. Don If BlackJasper doesn't need the wheels I would be pleased to take them off your hands. I put a post on here a while back seeking some wheels for the 1/32 Revell kit but although one person thought he had a spare set somewhere I didn't get any so my kit is currently sitting on it's gear legs with no wheels
  10. That would be great - I'm prepared to trade if I have anything of use to you
  11. I found the makers mark on it (molded in the plastic at the Wing Root is Revell). So it is a set of tyres for the Revell F-104 in 1/32 that I am seeking.
  12. Not sure which the kit is - no box and no instruction sheet. I also have not found a manufacturers mark. It is, however, molded in red plastic and came with the Native American Indian decal set. I can more than likely adapt the wheels from either.
  13. I have a 1/32 Starfighter kit that was partially (badly) built when I purchased it. Part way through the build I have realised that, although I got the wheel rims, I did not get the tyres to go with them. Does anyone on this forum have a set of tyres to suit this kit that they would be prepared to part with ? cash or trade
  14. I did a rebuild of a Lancaster kit that I purchase don Ebay already built (badly). After breaking it down I soaked the parts in common household bleach for a couple of days. Stripped the paint right off and took out most of the copious amounts of filler as well. As a bonus it also stripped the canopies clean and they polished up beautifully after wards.
  15. Here's a couple I did for the BoB Group build. Both Airfix 1/24
