  1. I believe so, and this site >> CLICK HERE << shows that it is. I think the only raised panel line was the first release of the F-4J in Jolly Rogers Marking. I believe the artwork showed the bird "down and dirty" coming in for an arrested landing on an aircraft carrier.
  2. Yes it but as I found out and JohnyyMac showed, the pylon on the tank is too narrow and needs a bit of work to fit to the bump that Revel molded on the bottom of the fuselage of their RF-4C/E F-4E/F kits. Pics from JohnnyMac perviously posted here on ARC. The Problem: A good fix:
  3. Yeah that's pretty much the consensus but one can always hope that old Tamiya is looking for a quick kill, however unlikely.
  4. Hi Harold, Sorry, :) I didn't know you did them. I also was not aware of your MK-5 seats either :o . I just orderd a set of those. I added this info into my post over on HS. :D
  5. I got some AGM-65s for an F-4E from Trumpeter's A-7 and the LAU-88 from Trumpeter’s A-10. There are also some in Academy’s F/A-18s and F-16s as well.
  6. Thanks Fuster, I have been wanting to buy one of these to go with the Viper Mk I but I did not feel the amount of plastic in the box warranted 25+ USD before shipping!
  7. Couple of pictures for you and maybe an answer Here is a picture of one of VMFA-333's Phantoms as it was preparing to launch on VMFA-333's last combat mission before USS America departed Yankee Station in March of 1973. No ECM antennas on the intakes. But you can see the one under the intake and just barely the one under the nose. I used the Yellow Hammer Decals YHD32-06 Mig Killer VMFA-333 "Trip-Trey" set for mine and while the picture below doesn’t show the CL tank (all of the pictures I have of the bird have the tank darkened by shadows) it does show the Model Master Caprail Gr
  8. Steve is great on the communications and fast with the merchandise!!! Trade/buy with confidence.
  9. Glad to know some one else with in depth Phantom knowledge couldn't place that item either. At first I thought it might be the NG scissors link but I could not figure out how to fold it for that. I've been all over the landing gear of the F-4N at the Museum of Naval Aviation and the F-4C at the Eglin's Air Force Armament Museum and never found anything even remotely similar to that part. Yep and the Tamiya kits are even deeper. How soon do you think they'll be ready? I take my final MSCE exam in a few weeks and I might be able to get back to the F-4E I have on the bench around Oc
  10. G-Factor Gear for the 1/32 Revell F-4E/F RF-4C? Count me in for several sets. BTW phasephantomphixer, or anyone else, got a Q about the SAC set (I bought one when they first released them in the forlorn hope they fixed the NG) you wouldn't happen to know what this bit of the set was for/supposed to be for? Just curious.
  11. Well you have two possiblities 1 The Legend set or 2 The Black Box/Avionix set The Legend set has it's problems even though it is designed to fit the Revell kits. See my personal experience here. Painfully Slow and Plodding F-4E Build The Avionix one will be of much better quality but it is designed for the Tamiya kit and so I suspect there will be some fit issues. But since there are fit issues with the Legend set I would be inclined to give this one a try. HTH
  12. I have this one close up from an RF-4C.
  13. Ok I received my set of SAC's replacement gear for the 1/32 Revel kit and I must admit I am a little disappointed. Not too disappointed, since I bought this set mostly for the mains because my F-4E will be sporting 3 white metal AIM-7s from Flight Path and some resin GBUs. The nose gear is a white metal carbon copy of the kit piece and therefore just as anemic and undersized. I'm disappointed because the set does not include the nose gear's scissors links that prevent the over extension of the oleo shock absorber strut. This is one of the nose gear's prominent features and the part in t
  14. If past experience holds true they most likely did. Sets by them have corrected have corrected inaccuracies while maintaining a drop in fit. Either way I'll let you know. I ordered a set from Sprue Brothers this morning and I just got an email that stated they shipped it. I ought to have the set in hand on Monday or Tuesday. Damn fast service Sprue Brothers!
  15. Well they're not resin, and it's not for the Tamiya F-4s but maybe it's a start of some Phantastic things to come this year. Metal Landing Gear for Revell 1/32 F-4s
  16. Hi Terry, As Dave has said the problem with all of the resin replacement exhausts except for the CAM ones are that they are all based on the undersized Tamiya Kit parts. Not sure why Tamiya screwed the pooch on the exhausts for the late J-79-10 engines but they did. CAM's set is the proper size and it is based on Ben Brown's solution of taking the Tamiya exhaust nozzles and 1 cutting the exhaust feathers off, 2 cutting the Revell kit feathers off of the outer ring 3 gluing the Tamiya part to the Revell feathers and then 4 adding the Edurard PE details (for the Tamiya kit) to the Revel
  17. Actually the fix to get a good "representation" of AIM-9G Winders from the kit's AIM-9 whatever is fairly simple, just move the front fins forward about one fin length. This takes these: and gives you these: BTW Luc about Sidewinder and or Sparrow markings all you need to know is two words: Two Bobs. Their decal sheets of AIM markings are da bomb so to speak.
  18. Hi Black Jasper, Andre is right about Tamiya's J79-10 exhausts being under sacle and the resin ones from Aries and CE as well (they were mastered from the undersized kit parts). There is/was also a set of proper sized exhausts from CAM resin, but these seem to be hard to come by and some people have complained about the quality once they have gotten them. There is one other possibility though. If you take the Tamiya exhausts and cut the feathers off, you can then glue them into the Revell exhausts. If you add the PE from Edurad to these hybrids you get a pretty nice set of proper siz
  19. Sent a PM about S32-03A USAFE Stencils F-4E/G/RF-4C-Two complete sheets
  20. Hello, I have emailed and PM'd about Eduard 32107 F/A-18 Hornet Armament Photoetch $19.95 $5.99
  21. According to Capt. Cummings account in Osprey's US Navy F-4 Phantom II MiG Killers 1972-1973 on pp. 82 to 86, Maj. Lasseter launched 2 AIM-7E2s, 1 AIM-9G, 1 AIM-9G, 2 AIM-7E2s and then 1 AIM-9G at the MiG. It was the last AIM-9G that killed the MiG. They then fired their last missile an AIM-9G at a second "black" MiG 21. This missle was observed to hit the MiG, but they did not see the MiG crash so they were eventually awarded one kill and one probable.
  22. Cool. Thanks for the picture. I was going to go with this loadout for my Mirage IIIE, but wasn't sure. As for the rocket pod/wing tank, the designation is/was the Matra JL-100. It combines a rocket launcher in front with 19× SNEB 68 mm RPs plus 66 US gallons in the remainder of the tank/pod. It was for use with the Mirage and the BAC Lightning. I did a quick search and came up with the 3rd picture at this site: http://www.lebaneseairforce.info/history5.htm I also forgot that the old Airfix 1/72 scale Mirage IIIC came with them. I'm not sure about the accuracy but this does give
  23. Hi Mick, Not sure of how 'real' it is/was but Revel's Mirage kits depicted tanks with bombs. The option was to put 2 bombs on the outside of each wing tank and two bombs in tandem on the center line station. I don't think I've ever seen a Mirage III/5 with a center line tank. The other armament option I have seen that was fairly unique to the Mirage III/5 was a combinations wing tank/rocket pod. It is in Revel's Mirage 5. These were as long as the regular wing tank but had a 12 round Folding Fin Aerial Rocket pod built-in into the nose vice an empty aerodynamic nose cone. Others will com
  24. This used to happen all the time to me on the pc I have at work. It has to do with the way IE handles page caching. (one of the major and often exploited security holes in Microsoft) Also when I went to Modeling Madness or HyperScale I would always see the last home page I had viewed (i.e. if today was Friday I would see Thursday's home page) until I refreshed the page then I would get the current day. One day SPAWAR in their infantile wisdom decreed that all PCs would be set to "empty temporary internet folders when browser is closed" and made us turn on the setting. It is in the securit
