Thanks for all the input guys!! Just goes to show you, it's better to come here and ask before that impuls to buy hits!! But it does seem I can build a good M model without to much trouble. Wouldn't it be great if one of the things this site had was a great " line drawing " section. Kinda like the " walkaround " section works.... Hmmmmmm

Wwow! So Italeri is correct? Cool! Then I should be able to do a Good P-47N with their kit and a good P-47M with the Revell kit! Thanks!! I could only find one picture of a N model that just suggested that the wheel wells were set further out. But it's very hard to tell. Does anybody have a better Pic? Thanks, Henry

Could you guys help me out please? I bought the Italeri P-47N kit last night just on impulse.. ( Hmmm.. I don't have that version ) When I opened it up something just didn't seem right. ( I'm not really a rivet counter or panel line freek) Are the wheels spaced to far apart? Or did this long range wing change the spaceing? If this is wrong then that would be very hard to fix. Would I be better off just using the Revell kit and choping the tips off the wings and a slight modification to the fillet they provide? Thanks, Henry

;) Well, I guess we all wish the info we had was always accurate but it tis but a hobby. And I do admit that I love being totally surprised!! Like, going into the hobby store the other day and finding the " special edition " Helldiver!!! WOW!!! Just for an instant.... ....

A friend of mine gave me a Hasegawa SU-27 kit a while back. It's a Hasegawa kit that I think is OOP right now. ( At least I can't seem to find it) He had started the kit and glued the air break closed and also kinda goofed up. I can't fix this and would really prefer the open look. I know the kit is not accurate in certin areas but still a very nice kit. ( P.E., metal etc ) My question is, Could I buy the Revell kit to replace certin parts? Arn't the Revell and the Hasegawa kits one in the same? Thanks, Henry

Thanks Dave! I think I saw an Italleri Sea Harrier at the LHS!!! :D I'll check it out!

While at the show in Kansas City I picked up an old Hasegawa 1/72 Sea Harrier Kit because it was a great buy. I was looking at an old " walk around" book that I have and it just seems to me from the drawings that the sea Harrier is bigger looking than the Mk3. Is this just inaccurate drawings? Also, is the Hasegawa kit close enough or would the Fujimi kit be better to set with Hasegawa's great AV8B/ GR.MK7 kits to show size compairasons? Thanks, Henry P.S. I also picked up a 1/72 Hasegawa Viggen at the show only to find a broken Canopy in the kit ( when I got home ) Would anybody h

Hi everyone, I'm planning on going to the show and am looking forward to seeing the vendor tables. I've never been to one of these shows before so could you tell me if it is likly that I will be able to find a good selection of PE and resin parts ( 1/72nd scale ) and will the prices be generally the same ( as say from squadron) or higher or lower? Also will it be possible to buy Hasegawa kits? My local HS dosen't carry a great selection and I only do checks to mail order stores so it would be nice to pick stuff up there. Thanks, Henry I thought I might put a HGE on my shirt. for

Anybody got a link to info on this new release? What do they mean " 3 in 1" kit? Is it a nice kit? Better than Hasegawa's ? Better than Fine Molds?

Thanks for the NeOmega link Murph! I would like my F1's to be as sweet as possible ( Limited by my skills of course  ) Outside of the politics envolved, I'd like to know what those other factors might be. Does it just come down to a contest between the Kifr and the F1? I think shurly the F1 is a more ccpable plane in any role. Thanks, Henry

Thanks for all the replys guys. I think I've decided to do the Greek 3-tone goast and the Iraq planes. The extention on the vertical stab will be made from an old Italeri Mig 27 kit. Well, I guess I goofed.. I ordered some true details MB MK7 ejection seats  I kinda think the SJU-17 seats may look better? Hmmm..What do you guys think? Or is there a MB mk4 or 6 out there I just haven't found? Thanks Guys, Henry Hmmm... I wonder why the US never purchased a few F1's for Adversary duty? I think they would have been a better choice than the F-21( Kifr)

I've been researching Mirage F1s and am mystified as to the types of ejection seats used. Can anyone tell me the different types and if they are supposed to be associated with certin models? It seems to me they are random! Another question I have concerns what appears to be spot lights located aft of the intakes. I think some models did not have them at all. (i.e. Mirage F1) Did some only have the light on one side? Also the light seems to be perfectly circular on some models and more elongated on others. Can anyone clue me in as to the rhyme or reason for this? There is a model called the

:D Can you believe I bought one of these recently at my local hobby shop ( complete with a patch you can sew on a jacket!! ) The hobby shop is only about a year old so how it got there is an act of fate! I've been collecting 1/72 mustangs for my future dream build of course! :D Now I'm wishing Academy would do an A-36!!!! after their wonderful P-51A kit! Do you guys think the F-82 is to far out of scale to be part of this collection or not? Academy P-51A Academy P-51B Academy P-51C Tamiya P-51D Tamiya F-51D ---------- F-51H Monogram F-82G Thanks, Henry
