  1. Thank you Fellas :) I forsee N745AM in my Near Future...
  2. I used NMF Aluminum tape over my kit... you can decal straight on top of the kit, just make sure you use MircoSol to remove the carrier film, it will dull the aluminum a bit. HTH Take Car
  3. If you put a 6 foot cable on those eye glasses, you can pick up DirecTV!!!! :D Take Care
  4. I Have the Lindbergh Line boxing, that one has the Rolls Royce engines. I'll trade!! Inbox
  5. According to the Dictionary, one of the definitions of culture is "the behaviors and beliefs characteristic of a particular social, ethnic, or age group: the youth culture; the drug culture." In this case, the particular group would be Aircraft Manufacturers, and the bodies that help them produce aircraft. This would be evident on how they react to competition, whether it is another company's product or another country's military antagonist. I see you agree on the fact that the Specs that lead a particular manufacturer to make a Claim I cannot trust. To be honest with you, I trust more when
  6. No, I won't explain. Nor am I saying a Nation is wrong, I am stating that, just like EVERY car manufacturer claims their product is the best, I would NOT believe that this plane or that plane is the Fastest based upon who's giving me the data. Example: The "Global Express is the Longest ranged civilian plane in the world". Sure, but both Dassault with the Falcon 7X and Gulfstream with the G550 make the same claim. DEPENDING ON MUCH WEIGHT YOU'RE CARRYING ON A PARTICULAR FLIGHT FOR A CERTAIN TEMPERATURE AND ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE, THE RANGE WILL BE DIFFERENTE ON EACH. So, I can't fully tust the
  7. Density Altitude is a major factor too, which not only dictates Engine performance but Aerodynamic performance too. Those numbers would be interesting to see. Yet, I believe the UK doing their claims on those terms, but I know of certain Culture that just WILL NOT concieve they being in 2nd place in ANYTHING, so I wouldn't trust their claims... Take Care
  8. I want youuu.... I want you sooo baaaaaaaaad Its Driving me maaaad its Driving me maaaad.... (She's so heavy!!!)
  9. Lol where Have I been during all this?!? Anyway, I think of ... Darth Vader, Monkeys and Palm Reading. The Force is strong with this one...
  10. Lol, I was under the Impression the DO335 was it, but I had never seen or heard about the Hornet... interesting though, that it is all on MPH, however where how do they reach this speed? Cruise? Dive? What Altitude? Take Care
  11. The 115B is Longer in size, due to the fact that it has an extra compressor, the fan blades are curved (not straight as in the -94) and the Cowling diameter is slightly larger on the -115. My take would be trade it for a Continental boxing, I got mine in Ebay. No one manufactures the -94Bs, AFAIK. Edit: Here's some research I did some time ago on how to differentiate what engine your kit has... Basic external differences between engines. Considering the GE90-115 is NOT in any kit, this leaves us with one out of 3 options. Pratt's PW9094 has the Smallest intake diameter, and the cowling shr
  12. Hey Ingmar Thanks for the tip. I figured I could do it the same way I did the 777, but the engine pylons are different. The 777 fits into its correspondant shape below the wing, while the Airfix's there's a Bulge beneath the wing. It has a couple of male/female attatchment, but I took those out while correcting the pylons (they are just waaaaay too low). I guess I'll assemble the engines in its totallity and mask them, seems like the better choice. Oh, and this will be a FedEx DC-10-30 with the current scheme :) Take Care!!
  13. Hi fellas I'm doing Airfix's DC-10 (yes, I know). I've done my homework and I've taken care of the basic corrections to this kit (the engine pylons and windows being too low). Anyway, I've come to the crossroads on this build. The kits I've done so far have very good fit and needed no fixes on the pylons, so this is my first time doing this. Anyway, here's the deal. The pylon will obviously need some filling and sanding. It is molded in such a way that the Engine shape is attatched to it. And, the wing also needs some sanding and minor filling. So, what do you do?? Do you glue the wings to
  14. I just finished building that very same boxing. Depends of the engines basically, if you're doing a GE90-114 you can order from Contrails. I did mine with GE90-94's so I had to get the Continental boxing and steal those. As for fit, overall it is very good, but watch out on the wings and tails are a bit too thick on the trailing edges, but nothing to worry about. Note, if you use another kit's engines, check out the fit on the wing, mine didn't require filling but I had to trim and thin down the pylons, since the GE's are thicker than the PWs. One other thing though - the nose is off, and look
  15. Hi fellas I've spent all afternoon today rescribing the wings on an Airfix DC-10, and I'm very pleased with the results (scriber and template rock). Anyway, I've done it before assembly of the Wings. However, before I get there, I need to ask any one if Mr Surfacer 1000 spray can primer will remove my scribing?? or is it ok? any tips?? Thanks Take Care
  16. Hi Fellas This is my second Gremlin Kit I build, last one I built was a PA-42-1000 Cheyenne 400, this on'es a Cheyenne III, which is the popular T tailed version. One particular thing about this bird is that Lufthansa bought a few and used them for Flight Training, so this one in particular will be left as such. Anyways, it is a Tail Heavy kit, so I had to cut the tail cone and drill and carve my way to the cabin, to make it a nose-sitter. I cut the door also, since I'm going to do some scratch building on this baby. Flaps, Ailerons and Trim tabs are all scratch built. Landing gear will be
  17. Fellas: FINISHED!!! Well, sort of. Waiting for a minor decal on the engines (GE Decal) and it is officially completed. Took about a year to finish, with major road blocks, but Done. First one I've finished in almost 3 years. Guess I haven't lost my groove :) Anyways Thanks for your comments Take Care Outdoors: Indoors:

  19. Hi fellas I'm just about to buy an Iwata Revolution HP-AR Airbrush R1500 - 4333 ... one thing stops me: Is this baby dual action? Thanks Take Care
  20. Looking at the new videos, Have y'all noticed that the plane is doing 75° Banking turns?? That's around 3-4 sustained G's on the turn itself... I have no clue what the Manouvering speed on this thing is, but I'm pretty certain he was over it, since this is racing after all... Anyways, with the bobbling right before the pitch up, at those G's, Its like driving 120 mph on the highway and suddenly yank the wheel to a side. You'll flip, probably. In this case, The bobbling at those G's would definetly cause some damage. Now, the question is: Did the trim tab caused the bobbling or the bobbling
  21. True. The Chicago game the punt at the end that got called back was too picky...
