  1. ha I don't know Russian, I actually kinda like translate the Russian Alphabet to the "normal" and know one or 2 words... not much, although I'd love to learn more yeah, you could give it a try... I use the CHALK/WATER/SOAP mixture in the Tools and Tips section... try it with red, See how it turns out!! Take Care
  2. Hey Dmitry I'd Use Brown or Red... Remember dirt is dark, but not as dark as black, so use either of them, a cousin of mine weathered his U-2 with Red pastels.... Give it a try Take Care
  3. There shouldn't be any problem, Just remember to cover the model to cover it from dust and stuff... Take Care
  4. I use Alcohol... works for me Take Care
  5. Ok, I dipped the thing in Canopy, I masked it, I painted it but after I remove the masking, the thing has got stained like from residue from the tape... how Do I remove it?? How do you clean Dipped Canopies?? How do you leave them SPARKLING CLEAN?? Take Care!!!
  6. I've used it, If id doesn't work it's probably the Acetone you are using... I've used 3 types and only 1 didn't work.... Plus you'll waist lots of Cotton swabs, so be prepared Take Care

    Air cans

Yes, they are economically Cheaper, BUT, consider this: By the time you get your 11th can, you could have gotten a Compressor Instead. I used cans. Not right now. I'm saving for my compressor. I paint using a friend's compressor (from the hobby club) I hope to get mine at the end of the year (Christmas present? I'd prefer a Corsair in 1/32 or The 1/24 Spitfrie ) Take Care
  9. Medium seams??? I use Krazy Kola Loca... works wonders.... I dunno what's the name in english, I do know it contains CINOACRILATE as the active ingeredient... Oh well... Take Care
  10. I'm no Luftwaffe fan by any means, but I my Hobby Club's president is... He just finished an Me-262 and painted it with the little lines pattern (not to mention he has done a FW-190 with the motted pattern, also, among his many german planes)... He does it free hand, but his airbrush has a head that makes the spray line veeeery thin.... Looks REALLY good... Oh, well... take care
  11. If you don't want that finish, you could do What I do... Thin the paint in the bottle a little bit more... I usually mix the Thinner with the paint up to about the consistency of Milk... works everytime...
  12. I use Krazy Kola Loca.... it contains Cinoacrilate, (i don't know if it's named like that in english, in spanish it is ok).... Works in less than 30 sec and works as a filler, too Take Care
  13. Hey, Don't worry.... Complain when you get in the Italeri's Super Hornet Intakes... Those are a pain in the Boat.... Take Care
  14. What I do is I paint the thing Aluminum First... then spray Jet Exhaust over and and a final smaller coat of either Burnt Iron or Gun Metal (not Humbrol's).... pretty much that leaves a kinda realistic look Take Care!
  15. I use copper wiring for those.... For the Positive side, for the negative I usually use Sprue.... Take Care
  16. Noni: I'm doing Italeri's 1/48 Super Cobra... I'm more of a fan of the Apache, but anyway. I usually weather using Steve B's Chalk/Water/Soap mixture found in the Tools n' Tips section... Works really good, and you can get your plane as filthy as you can, and the best part is that if you don't like it, just clean it. After you get what you want, Seal it with Dull Coat or somethin'. For paint chips, If you want it the easy way, just get a silver pen. If you want it the Hard way, paint the entire model Aluminum, let it dry and then coat it with future. After you paint the base clor, using you
  17. Acrilics are better with brushing.... Enamels are better with Airbrushing Take Care
  18. Sand 'em if they're rubber Tires Cheers
  19. I am currently building Revell's 1998 REYNARD model, but i'm leaving it like I want it, (in other words, i'm not using the kit's decals). A friend of mine at the hobby club told me that in order to get a reeeeaaaally glossy finish on the car, I should DIP the thing in Future. Ok, I did.... but It didn't go glossy, as a matter of fact. It does, but only when you compare to a part that is not dipped. So, I dipped Twice. Only the second time, it left WHITE MARKS, like Elmer's White Glue on for example "panel" lines or at the little air intakes it has on the engine cover... I decided to remove
  20. I'm after kinda like... some Blue with Light gray and White or something like it Any Help?? Thanks
  21. Practice makes Perfect, DUde.... I once had that model, I gave it away (really dumb thing to do) For the panel lines, if you have lots of time on your hands, go for it... You may finish and wishing no more planes ever have those. For the camo, it depends on what do you want to do exactly.... But for example you should paint from lighter to darker colors... but don't be afraid to experiment, that's what this hobby is about An airbrush isn't that expensive (at least mine wasn't) Wish I could be more specific but I'm stuck here with somethin'.... Take Care
  22. If it is metal, dip it in Thinner
  23. Dip in Future first... It won't fog any more Or you can Use White Glue Works OK
  24. I liked the Grey one.... haha... very nice!!!
