  4. Here I'll play. I have always liked the Retro A-7 scheme, so this is based off that Nose Art is the Toilet dropped from an AH-1 Skyraider. Thanks Mike
  5. Wow this is extremely nice! You did an excellent job, looks just like the real thing!! This was one of my top 5 favorite sheets I've drawn, glad we finally did them as no one had done them correctly and this squadron was a must have! Bomb graffiti looks great. Nice job once again dude. Mike
  6. VX-30's Hornets where some of the oldest Alpha and Bravo Hornets left. They were all hand me downs from different squadrons, mainly different Navy squadrons and 2 Alphas from Marine squadrons. BH101 came from VMFA-134 "Smokes" out of Miramar (Which was a POS bird that needed lots of work to get them right again as did many of the Hornets they received.), BH102 cam from VMFAT-101 "The Sharpshooters" also out of Miramar, which was already in a camo paint scheme and shortly after leaving VX-30 this aircraft joined the Blue Angels . BH201 & 203 came from VFC-12 out of Oceana. BH200 and 100, I
  7. His weathering is 100% accurate! I have seen this jet in person, he got it exactly right. He worked from over 30-40 pics. Question for you, have you seen this jet in person or any Tomcat for that matter? How do you know it's too splotchy? Great job again Simone! Mike

  13. I think it's pretty cool! Yeah black tails and a bigger tail logo would make this thing pop. I love the tail hook.
  14. Well we went off of what VX-30 wanted, which was a paint scheme based off the Avenger but still keeping the current markings, so that's what we did. Now if they said make it total retro and markings to match then they would have been done that way. Trust me it was researched. Were not just pulling "stuff" out the sky. We did what was asked. Either way can't wait to see the paint scheme, glad to have helped out. :D
