Looks like the MC's here...they have a fuel tank probe issue.
So they are being cycled through to drop the externals and
do some probe/harness work and then hang them back on the wing.
Looking good so far!

That's awesome! When you see a real Mercury capsule
it looks so primitave and fragile that it actually ended up
in Earth orbit. The Mercury 7 were truly brave test pilots
with the "right stuff" at that time. USAF Col. Frank Borman
passed away today...Flew in Gemini and commander of
Apollo 8. RIP Sir....

I've bought so much aftermarket stuff for my B-1
that I need repackage it in a stronger box! Other
guys have built up some pretty impressive gear
struts from the kit gear with aftermarket wheels.

We called them (and still do) slime lights on the MC-130 because
they glow like the chem sticks we tie to airdrop loads or tape
in the cargo compartment to see on NVG. Almost the same
green glow.

That's looking really good! Gotta love the old BUFF.
This last weekend I watched a couple of videos of
B-52H 61-0023 that was being used for a turbulance
test and had its tail ripped off. They flew it for several
hours and managed to get it on the ground to be repaired
and fly again. Tough bird!

Awesome! Gotta love a Skyraider!

Having flown the C-5A in the gray/white scheme and picking up a dozen new
C-5B's at the factory that is a very dark green. When you stand on the crew door
you can see the green. When they were re winging the Amodel the new wing was in
that camo colors with the grey flaps and slats till it went to Kelly for depot and repaint.
They should of left it and the C-141B in the gray/white paint. Was a good looking airplane
then.

Looks awesome! I have one to build...Texas ANG.
As much as I like the SR-71 I vote F-5E as well.

Looking good! Yes...the HC/MC airframes are growing new antennas like weeds as well!

Thats awesome! My dad was stationed at Edwards back then and he took us
down to Palmdale to watch the "roll out" of the B-70. I saw it fly in to Edwards
to start it's test program. You reproduced the supersonic heating that burned
the paint off perfect and the drag chutes and runway reall add to the real feel.
Great job on an awesome airplane!

After they banned smoking in the airplane guys who did smoke would sit
up on the door with a half cup of water for ashes and blow the smoke out
that vent. It would stay cracked just a bit to maintain pressurization. LOL!

That's awesome! Love those tri-color land based Corsairs!

Lookin good! You already have it closed up but that recessed circle in the cargo door is the
depressurization outflow valve. It opens with a butterfly plate. You could probably just paint
it really dark gray after she's painted.

Very nice work here. A lot of attention to detail. You just have to appreciate the ugliness of C-130. It's so ugly it's pretty.
Hey! Don't talk about my girl like that! LOL!!

Great job so far! Funny how the VooDoo back end looks very Phantom-ish!

Great job on the AC-J! I've been in a couple of them here at Kirtland since the
gunship crews go through J model academics here. I think the flight deck has
2 CSO's side by side with no bunk up against FS 245. The microwave is there
though! You can use prop blur for the turning props. Having both MC and HC
crews in the 415th SOS here the MC crews pretty much fly in OCP's and the HC
crews wear flight suits. I was a MC-130P loadmaster at Kadena in the 17th SOS
and now it's a AC-J gunship squadron at Cannon. I need to build one to go with
the 17th SOS AC-119 when it was a gunship squadron in Vietnam. That new gunship
is pretty lethal. Will watch your progress as it develops to own the night.

Great job so far! My dad was in the Air Force with a guy he went to high school and college
with that retired as a Eastern L1011 captain. I was wearing my Eastern L-1011 t shirt yesterday too.

Yes...the 20mm vulcans were removed. The ECM blisters are off of a B-52.The searchlight aft of the 105mm gun
was also removed and plated over. My favorite is still the AC-130E...20MM vulcans...40 mm and the 105. Painted in
SEA paint on top and black sides and bottom. My old MC squadron (17th SOS) is now an AC-130J gunship squadron at Cannon

Love it! Well worn and exhaust stained war horse! I'm sure
it was a beautiful sight to the survivor on the ground waiting
for the H-3's to come in for pickup.

The decal sheet prop tip colors are wrong as well. The MC/HC/AC-J
the blade tips are a light gray color.

I loved flying on Eastern Airlines when I was young. 727's and Lockheed Electra's.

The HC's I think have already been upgraded. We only have 3 of them here.
The HUD if the sun shines into it it glows green like a set of eyes!
