  1. Well after being up and down for a short while with a back problem I finaly got some work done to both of them. Engines painted, tires, wheels, landing gear, gear doors inner and outter painted and radome painted on both the A and B models. Few things that's left is the leading edges on the A model (silver), touchup on the underside of the B and the little bumbs and lights there about . And the painted windscreen and whatever else I missed to paint. Decals and glue evrything on. Not to bad for under a months work so far for the 2 On with the pics. Good use of a old Squadron Flyer and Net
  2. From Hobby Land 2) 1/48 Monogram/Revell PBY-5A Just like there 1/72 B-36............. Still a great value any way you look at it! Can not wait for the reissiues of the T-6
  3. On the intakes you are looking for on the engines. How about if you took bomb halfs and cut off most of the front and what is left is the small end that kinda looks like a little air scoop. With the taper you might need. Build looks good, ready for paint yet? Resin Builder
  4. Good to see someone taking on this big build I too also have this kit but is in the to-do pile as well, Really great to see bigger kits being built. I built the IL-18 worst part of the whole build was the engine nacelles. It looks like the quilty has been upgraded a little on the Moss and the Tu-114. I will be watching your build with interest also. Resin Builder
  5. I will take a set just as long as I can pay with anything else besides paypal! Money order preferred Thanks
  6. Did you get the kit direct from Anigrand or from Nost. Plastic as Iam starting to wounder if Nost. Plastic gets seconds, as I have seen kits from Anigrand be better quilty far as pin holes and chunks misaligned wheels and such then the same a/c from Nost. Plastic, Was just woundering.....Thanks
  7. Paint Progress on the 1/72 C-141A and B White and gray shot on A model, now for the fun part, get to paint all the little stuff now since the main airframes are shot. Will let dry few days before going onto the silver leading edges and the black or dark blue (gotta check) cheater stripe, black radome A model different shade of green for B model and windows on both models. That gloss enamel MM gray seems to linger around for awhile and stay tacky for awhile too. I bought rolls of cash register paper to use for smaller masking works really great! Thanks for looking and comments.............
  8. Your making me jealous, I wanna build mine
  9. Have the C-141A reprimed and ready for the gray. Did get the C-141B painted tonight, alot of paint and fumes! My artistic interpretation of the lizard scheme! The dog is chewing me out for the fumes and making her sneeze
  10. See if I can get the book from him, I told him that was wrong but being a old fart he is bull headed, I think he just wants me to do the artic version. I do have an extra 1/72 Anigrand C-17 that I want to build in white over grey then add the artic markings to it,and you all thought Luft'46 peoples are nuts
  11. David, That would be it! THANK YOU Very Much!!! Buddy of mine has a spec book but shows the C-141B with tan and a 141A scheme with Artic Orange colors, nothing like I was after but you saved the day. Book is dated in the 70's Got that in 1/72 scale plans? Just kidding Thanks again, Resin Builder
  12. Any one know the FS numbers for the C-141B's Lizard paint scheme colors??? Been looking and can find nothing...nothing at all Thanks in advance............. Resin Builder

  14. From West Caost Hobbies out of Canada CMR 1/72 Boeing Model 40B-4 CMR 1/72 Kokusai Ta-Go Suicide A/C (wounder why they called it "Ta-Go")
  15. LOL....... I remember that kit. Might be a bleeder, meaning prime it before you paint it as the orange might bleed thru the paint,
  16. Ken, That would be the one..... 20. Models and More 1/48 resin with white metal and clear vac kit of the Yokosuka MXY7 "Ohka" Model 22, The pic on the box is the wrong aircraft but was put the by the producer of the kit which will be corrected. Started this kit on a Saturday afternoon and done with it on a Monday evening being a real simple build to do and a break from the C-141's. Enjoy the pics and if looking for a first resin kit to do this might be a good choice for you. Thanks all for looking and for comments........ Parts layout partcial interior
  21. Well got all the putty work done and resribed the best that I could do. Decided to paint the windows black due to the crack resin canopy on one and the crappy fit of both of them, plus they might be oversized also....who knows. Engines are all sanded and ready for primer also. Thanks all for looking and comments Anyway on with the pics. putty work both all primed up
  22. I spoke with Scott at the Gateway Show in St. Louis and he has had the same problems as I have. But there response to him about quilty control was......... It does not matter I will sell every one of them. Now I do not know if that reply came from Anigrand or that Nostaglic Plastic guy (Anigrand USA). But anyway getting to where Iam about ready to give up on the Anigrand brand due to quilty of his kits as of late, with that much pinholes and having to carve parts from chunks of resin best to just build a vacuform kit.
