Got back into modeling recently after a 20 year break. Mostly building modern fighter jets in 1/32 scale. I’ve enjoyed learning to use an airbrush and practicing all kinds of weathering techniques. I’m about to start weathering a USN F/A-18. I had some success weathering along panel lines with slight hints of burnt umber and mineral spirits on the F-4 I just completed. My question is: If I do that on this F-18 and wait for it to fully dry, can I then come back and do some more oil stippling and color filtering on different panels without affecting the first dried layer?
