  7. I've been looking for some aftermarket decals for a Revell/Germany 1/48 Me-110G-2. I have been searching all day and I forgot to come to the place for all my answer's. Well I hope yall can help lead me in the right direction...thanks again
  8. I just want to give a shout out to the men who started this site. When I started modeling seriously in the past 10 or so years ago, I thought this obsession was just my obsession (obsession might be taken as a bad word but I found myself wanting to know more about the aircraft I was building). When going online and finding this site, I was blown away not with the site but what it had to offer. The knowledge of aviation history... from WW1 to the gulf War was astounding. When someone like myself can go here and find out what's the difference between a Fw-190A-3 to A-4 and get the right answe
  9. Im looking to build a 1/48 Bf-110 G-2 for my next build. My question is with the new Eduard kits out there are they the top choice to buy...reading some reviews they got me confused. Just give me your thoughts... yall have not let me down yet lol
  10. Hey guys...just a quick question. I'm planning on building a 1/48 Tamiya Fw190 with a checkered nose. I have one giant question what to do? paint or go with decals. I know it varies from builder to builder but i think I'm leaning toward painting. Tell me what you think...thanks again
  11. Im going to be building Revells 1/125 Uboat. After reading some reviews I was wondering if there are any aftermarket products out there? If you know of any please respond thanks and have a good day!
  12. thanks for all the suggestions they all helped so much. I guess its nice to know that Im not alone in this...I love the hobby and quitting it because of frustration is stupid. I still get a lot of satisfaction when completing one. I would like to thank all of you that responded...this site is and always will be the biggest help in my modeling career but for right now I think Im going to lye low for awhile and take a break from building but not the hobby. the only question is how long :D
  13. ha ha ha thats good... I like the advice, thanks bro
  14. I have been building models for the last 10 years. The majority of my intrest is in aircraft 1/48 Luftwaffe WW2. I am at the point of a model breakdown! :) I'm burnt out...I dont have the joy of building like I use too. Little mistakes upset me more and I'm struggling with decals that use to be real easy for me. I love the hobby and I don't want to stop. I guess my question is What do you do?...take a break...quit....different scale...different subject. Im leaning on taking a break but what do you do? what keeps you driven? what keeps you intrested after all those years???? ^_^
  15. Right now I'm building a 1/48 pro modeler Ju-88 A-4 and want to convert to a C-6. I'm lacking the C-6 nose piece. If anyone has one laying around and looking to sell give me a shout. Thanks, this is a long shot but its worth it...lol

    Ju-88

I see some of the parts for a C-6, but I cant figure out the front canopy. The C-6 has guns in the front...the A-4 clear window. I looked through the kit and I dont see anything that would take its place...maybe I'm missing something???

    Ju-88

I'm building Pro Modelers 1/48 Ju88A-4. My question is quick and easy. Does anyone make a conversion kit from a A-4 to a C-6? Hope someone has some info...thanks

    wood finish

OK, can someone give me some info about wood finishes...thats pretty much it. I'm building a 1/48 WW1 model for the first time and I'm sure I'll have more questions. Thanks
  19. yes watch out for the fit of the canopy...I wished they could of molded it as one piece...it's very tempermental..lol yes $20 bucks sounds right
  20. OK I'm building a 1/48 biplane for the first time. I'm also going to try rigging..(I figured I'd go all out for the first one...lol) My question is what's my options...thread, guitar strings, stretched spruce? Basically I'm looking for the easiest way...I've done some searches on the internet and found stretch thread 350 that modelers have used but the only site is in Europe. Could someone head me in the right direction...once again thanks
  21. one choice Tamiya...I dont care how old they get there still on of the best kits out there! I think Eduard might be releasing one in the future they pretty much have the 190 wrapped up
  22. Looking over my new build i noticed that the canopy had a mold line running the lenght of the it. I see multiple lines toward the end (like they should be there) but i dont know about the one? I've tried to go to various galleries but i can never get a good shot of one. I am a prop guy out of the water...lol I'm really excited about this build, thers so much history with this plane....GERMANS...its going to look great next to my Ta-183 looking for some help thanks!

    fast frames

just saw some at the local hobby shop. never saw these before....how do they rate? are the worth it? or should I stick to Eduards masks? another question are they a mask or something different?
  24. OK, I'm stepping away from the props to build my first post WW2 aircraft. This special project I went with the F-86F-30. After snooping around the internet I see two kits in 1/48...Haegawa/Academy. Well my questions is which one is better? thanks again for the time

    me-410

ok I almost ready to toss this thing...if anyone has built the 1/48 pro-modeler Me-410 you understand the canopy is horrible...I tried the white glue and I failed..Im afraid to go super glue (frosting)... can someone push me in the right direction with some glue thats a strong bond that wont blemish the window or if they make a vacuum formed replacement...???
