  1. Your chopper is looking great Kev. To bad I wont be able to see it or your other works of art this weekend. Not feeling to well and decided that the 5 hr drive would be litle to much for me. Going to go to London instead. Its only 2hrs. Have a blast at the show and remember to bring a hand cart for all the awards youll be taking home. Trevor
  2. Thank you Collin and Bill. I appriciate it. Happy modeling Trevor M
  3. Those are the kits decals. They are Very good decals. The olny tricky one was the lightening bolt cause there all one peice. Thanks for the compliment. Trevor
  4. No worries Moritz The whole purpose was to teach myself how to use Metal paints. If I was concerned about great detail I would have chosen NOT to build it Out of Box. So technical..if I were to sand off the frame..it would no longer be OOB....write or wrong. Thanks for your concerns and input. Maybe you can help me along the way with my srcatch build F-16. Heres a peek. http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....=113565&hl= Take care Trevor M
  5. Looks Great ED! You mean thats not its normal paint sceam
  6. Aw yes! You are correct. Futher study of my pics show that it is a 2 seater. Whell Wada ya know. To late to change anything now, but thanks for the heads up. I definantly see me building a larger version in the furture. Will keep this in mind. Cheers mate
  7. Thanks for the input ChernayaAkula, But Im scratching my head as to what you mean. What frame? Where on the canopie? Update: looking at the walkaround photos. you are correct that the originals F-100s didnt have it, but I believe the "D" model did. Check here: http://www.f-100.info/images/cutshall_f-100f_hydaccesst.jpg
  8. beutiful Job Steph. A real Master Peice. Whats next? Trevor M
  9. This concludes my First 'Natural Metal Finish'. Its my 3rd 1/72 jet and my 11th model in my colection. Again I would like to thank all the modelers that continualy post their modeling technics. This makes modeling better for the intire community. I know cause I steel others technices all the time. I started with many diffrent shades of Alclad. I then post shaded with pastels and the rest is history. This was just supposed to be somthing to pass the time in a hotel room while working out of town, but it sure took on a whole new direction. Now that its finished. I can finnaly get back to

  11. Yes! thats it. Hey Ed just wondering... Were do you get all these kits for your kit bashing. You seem to have an endless suplie of prebuilt models.
  12. OK Ed this one is too Cool. For some reason it reminds me of the old Clint Eastwood movie. What was that called again.
  13. Once again and always Thank you guys for all the kinds words. I have managed to paint it Flat clear and then I applied the pastel dust. Next step is to paint with Future again. Back and forth. Back and forth. Ill get there eventually. Maybe....Juuuust maybe, Ill be able to finish her off tommorrow. With all these close up photos it easy to loose perspecttive. So heres a photo of the work bench.
  14. Fine lookiing model. You have Great skill when it comes to airbrushing. looking forward to your next build. Trevor
  15. Boy Ed You sure know how to ster up a Hornets Nest or...er..is that an Eagles Nest. What ever.lol
  16. Ive been following this build for a while. It just so happens that I have 2 kits of the same. Your doing a great job. Maybe ill attempt the same in about a year or two. Keep posting Trevor M
  17. What a Fantastic paint job! I read you used BMF on the landing gear. Might I offer a suggestion. I too used to use BMF but then I was introduced to MM Crome Silver Trim(sorry cant read the FS#) This stuff is WAY better. You wont end up with the over lap from the foil. Just pre-soak the strut with varsol and then run the sivler over it. Beleive me you will be impressed. Trevor M
  18. Nice litle plane you have there Jamie. Great job on the finish. Trev
  19. I see your in the process of producing an other master peice. Love the very subtle pre-shading and lightening. Looking good Gary. I built the Italeri kit and let me tell you...What a dog! that kit is. as a result I will never build another Italeri kit again. But that Revell kit looks great. Whats your impression of the kit. Did everything fit were its supossed to. Trev
  20. Thanks very much for your most sincear reply Mikeew I do appriciate it. Thanks for the heads up Kev. The tanks are just on for show. I havent even Futured them or washed them yet. But I will definatly fix that up. Much ablieged. Trev
  21. Getting closer. Just have to paint it Flat Clear then add a bunch of pastel dust, Then paint semi-gloss and add a bunch of oil stains. Oh yes and then add the many different pitoe tubes. There is one more Large obstical to overcome. When I stuck the paper roll up the exhaust port to hold it for painting......I actually nocked the cockpit tub off! Some how...Some way im going to have to put it back in place and glue it. I dont know how bad the damage is cause the canopie still has the tape on it..but I can hear it rattling around.
  22. This is my latest HS purchase. What a TON of fun. Ive never flown a helicoptor before and all I can say is its well worth the $240.00 once I master this I will be buying a bigger and better out door chopper.
  23. I hear good things about this kit. What is your impression of this kit so far? The cockpit looks great. Seems to have very good detail in comparison to that Italeri crap. please keep posting. Trevor M
