  1. Great photo. Thanks for the info.
  2. After MANY MOONS, I decided to dust everything off and get back into it. In process builds...paints...airbrush...tools....all now dust free! So I'm looking at this F4E I started, and if I wanna be correct, I guess I gotta do a ZOOMIE airframe/color scheme, because MARINES didn't fly the "E", or so I'm told. I wasn't looking forward to a camo paint scheme, but I guess Zoomies did have an all grey scheme that would fit better into my level of painting experience, so I'm gonna try that. Anyone got some insight into what "FS" gray would be best to use? I ha
  3. Ya I know......I dropped outa sight. Figured I owed it to all you guys to pop in and let ya know whazz goinon. I guess you couold say that I just lost it. Haven't had the urge to sit and do any work at all in quite awhile. I have this Prowler almost completely scribed, and I just put it down and never got back into it. It won't be done for the GB for sure, but I will be sure to get a thread goin with some photoze when I get back into it. Got a SLUF goin too that I MAY get done before that GB deadline, but I donno. I donno what it is......the desire to build just left me.............I liked
  4. ratzratzRATZ.......well I noticed that my intakes have a few flaws that I am just gonna have to live with. Seems the portside sucker extends farther forward than the starboard side, and the starboard side is kicked out away from the fuselage a bit more than it should be along the bottom edge. OH WELL..... Scribing is coming along nicely......10 lines per day...... gettin ready to tackle the SMALL stuff...... pixx to follow.....
  5. A few questions on the proper painting of the aforementioned ordinance, that I'm loading my GB A-7 with. Ok, Snakeyes are OD with 2 yellow stripes around the circumference at the nose end, right? Walleyes are red, aren't they...with a white nose and mavs are all white? Are there any other markings on this ordinance, and does anyone know if there are ordinance stencil / decal kits avail for 48th scale boom booms?

  7. KAP....do tell what you used to do....Navy...Marines......avionics....what?
  8. An update....the reccribing has begun! Can you say, "Oh my GOD?!?!?!?!" Yes this is tedious........I'm gonna try to do 10 lines a day.......at that rate, I should have the rescribing done by the 1 March deadline! I gotta seriously kick it up a notch if I am gonna get this baby done in time.........now that the holidays are over, I got my workbench back! Pixx to follow.......stay loony tooned!
  9. Attaboy Tom.....keep these fellas on track! Have you been gettin any heat from the fellas to join the GB? Lookin good Greg!
  10. SWANNY.....of COURSE....hehehehehe thanks
  11. ok, what do the numbers that suffix Mr Surfacer denote?
  12. I was just lookin at pictures on your site of the Gator you built! I like it I LIKE IT!!!! How'd you make out with that 32nd scale Phantom?
  13. Thazza handsome little fella ya got there mate. Now I gotta go back and look at the Phantom he built! Ya I think that instead of getting a 48th scale kit and dropping 150 bones for AM goodies, I will just go out and get 32nd scale kits from now on!
