  1. Thanks, When I did a search all I could come up with is one in the UK.
  2. I am looking for this item. Black Box CS32004. Also might consider a revell kit. Thanks Randy
  3. I drug those pictures through Photoshop and there is no more info other than what you already know to be gleaned from them. I did find a poor color version of the second photo online and after manipulating it a bit the band on the 109 is no doubt yellow. I also found this. I have my doubts about how correct this one is. Then this mistel 109f I'm pretty sure Floyd put the necessary research into it. He lists his his references at the bottom of the 109 page. Maybe you can search for one of those books. website one last link mucho mistels
  4. Roast beef, onions and pepperjack on sourdough then grilled on the foreman grill.
  5. I mentioned that in my post about what part of the build you most dislike but it seemed to get no traction. I think it would be ridiculously interesting. I would certainly be a player. There would need to be some pretty rigid rules though. Like no re-doing others work, where the line is between paint and weathering, etc.
  6. Thanks! This is the latest pic with it dull coated, guns, sights and antenna installed. The antenna is configured wrong but it's tight enough to play a tune on. This is probably as far as this one goes. I'm going to build one more mule from a Revell P51-B before I start working on my nice kits. I have concluded that I like working with acrylics and plan to stick with them.
  7. I'll make a decision on it when I get home. I'll let you know.
  8. Selling off my 48th scale stuff and going 32nd. Most kits have been opened and may have had some test fitting done. Some are unviolated. Likely have aftermarket wheels and other parts for some of the German stuff. Well, I decided to keep my stash. I'll honor the commitments I have already made however. Thanks for looking. 9. I'm converting over to acrylics and wanted to do a "mule" to test painting technique. I have always used model master thinned with lacquer thinner. I also decided to cut my own stencils and paint all the markings. The paint work is not complete. Need to chalk up the exhaust stains, paint stacks, etc. I purposely did not spend a lot of time on construction being a test bed. You will see some issues here and there. I did pay attention to seams and gaps. I did not attempt to restore panel details, especially in the cowl area where untold amounts of filler were necessary to fill all the gashes.
  10. I may have inadvertently discovered an alternative to the standard methods. Stay tuned. Seeing how we all have a favorite/least favorite part of building, How interesting would it be to do a group build where several people contribute toward the building of a single model? I think that would be pretty cool.
  11. Sad news. Condolences to the families. My link
  12. That's all I got for now.
  13. I'm putting together a 32nd P40 that's been laying in the closet for many years. I adopted the kit (partially assembled) from someone else and have decided to use it as a mule. I've been out of modeling for close to a decade. Prior to that I was using washes and pastels to weather. The plan is to mostly sand off the raised detail then prime the whole bird. I will then finish sanding off the raised lines which will allow their placement to show through to use as a guide for preshading. I'm not going crazy on the build because I'll be testing several new things along the way. Here's some of th
  14. I agree with the others. I doubt that in his final moments he'll recall those bad a$$ clubs you bought that one time but he certainly will recall his final flight with his son. Anyone on your block can buy clubs and lessons. Maybe not whoop-dee-doo custom ones but clubs nonetheless. Other than sitting in the back seat how many can go flying? Like others have said, you already know what you really want.
  15. I don't know if I would participate but I'd sure like to see the outcome.
  16. Congratulations! Sounds like you are going to enjoy it.
  17. I have two actually, a 34 inch US Cutter MH871 cheapo and a 54 Inch Copam CP-4500. I bought the first one when I could not find anyone to cut stripes for my car the way I wanted them done. The second one because I wanted a little bit better machine. Neither one is as good as a Roland or a Graphtec but I'm not laying out that much dough unless I'm selling a bunch of vinyl.
  18. Sorry to hear that Terry. Hope things turn for you soon. Be well.
  19. So, after being absent for the better part of a decade I decided to pick a kit and build it. I was still doing pastels for weathering when last I modeled but have decided it's all pre-shade, post-tint from here on. I put the kit aside and pulled out a 32nd scale Revell P-40E that's been laying around here forever with the intention of using it as a mule. It was partially assembled whenever I adopted it and apparently the previous owner was not a seamin' genius. The fuselage and wings are mostly together and it's about time to start filling the furrows in the wing roots. I noticed the kit ha
  20. It would not be good for what we do. Thought about getting one just to mess around with but it's still a little pricey to let the grand kids loose with it.
  21. I'm eyeballing one called a rigidbot that is under 500.00. Requires assembly though. Link
  22. Interesting how the sheet grade/type stampings are all inward.
  23. You should have her in paint in a couple days. Nice to the old girl getting some love.
