FL32-2003 Mk-83 1000lb bombs with BSU-85 fins
Dave Roof replied to Dave Roof's topic in Jet Modeling
Yes, all production is done in house. -
This set includes two (2) Mk-83 1000lb bombs, two (2) BSU-85 fins and two (2) each of the following : M904 nose fuzes, Mk-43 TDD and MXU-735 Nose Plugs. The Mk-83 was the weapon of choice for the USN and USMC during Operation Desert Storm and was used extensively throughout the war. Yours truly built several dozen of them while deployed to Sheik Isa Air Base in Bahrain! Below is a quick build of the first batch that were produced. Refinements have since been made to the files and the production sets are much smoother. https://www.flyingleat

I ordered all of the CH-53E stuff from them and got the order with no issues (except the zombie apocalypse delay).

This set of pylons corrects the inaccurately shaped pylons included in the Academy kit. Each set is 3D printed to ensure the best quality possible, as well as to minimize the work required to prepare them for installation on your model. An added bonus is the realistic way in which ordnance can be attached to the pylon. The suspension lugs on the Aires GBU-12 fit perfectly in the slots we designed to represent the suspension hooks on the BRU-32. Our very own Mk-83 1000lb bombs work the same way. While we haven't checked other ordnance items, there is a good chance they'll fit as wel

Trumpeter's 1/32 AV-8B II Plus, built in four days and is a four footer at best! All markings were painted on using masks created on my Cameo Silhouette (these are on a future decal sheet, but needed them now). Centerline pylon and APKWS Pod were designed in Fusion 360 and 3D printed (also future releases). Base was made and donated by a fellow Marine. Model was built for and presented to LtCol Grunke, the CO of VMA-231 as a going away gift as he relinquished command. My girlfriend and I spent the day at the squadron and the evening with the squadrons Officers and SNCO's at a pig r

Revision 2, change 3! See, I used to work on SUU-62's and SUU-63's at MALS-11, MALS-41 and MALS-42 Ordnance. However, the last time I touched one was in 2005 and I've forgotten a few things. Thankfully, several current Navy and Marine Ordies reached out and provided the necessary information to get these right. As an Ordnanceman, I can't let this stuff go uncorrected. So, this is the updated release list of the F/A-18 pylons : FL48-8013 1001/1021 F/A-18A/B pylons for BuNo's 161353 thru 163175 FL48-8014 1003/1027 F/A-18A+/A++/C/D pylons f

These will be 3D printed and based off of measurements of the real pylon. They correct the shape and details of every available pylon provided in various kits. There will be a total of four different sets (details are different on all of the pylons) in all three scales, 1/72, 1/48 and 1/32. Prices are to be determined and projected release date is later this month after stock is built up. First batch came off the printer a couple hours ago and they printed as designed. More updates will be posted on our Facebook page throughout the week.

What demand for 1/48 Black Box sets?

When KMC folded, one member (Jef) moved and created Black Box. Black Box became Avionix. Jef sold everything to Squadron and then went to work for them. He recently left Squadron, but I believe everything he created is still owned by them. KMC, Black Box/Avionix, Aeromaster/Eagle Strike.......all of it once the cornerstone of the hobby in the late 90's, early 2000's is now owned by Squadron where it has slowly withered away into obscurity.
