  1. Great, Radu! Another briliant solution! I have your rivet tools and they are fantastic!
  2. Yes, I was afraid there´s no other way.. this is a hard to find and VERY good kit for a short run, I´ll do my best not to ruin the wings. Unfortunately I can´t live with it the way it is, even if not a horrendous bump. My plan was unglue the halves and sand the inner side to achieve a thinner width. It was my fault not dry-fitting before, the cockpit and fuselage construction were so perfect I deliberately ignored test fit..
  3. Sorry if it has been discussed before, but the search tool resulted nothing related. Besides unglueing (Humbrol) cemented plastic parts the usual way, trying no to break anything, is there any other hint? I read somewhere that placing the glued parts on a sealed bag and on a freezer for some days would have parts unglued practically themselves alone. I have Su-7 wings halves (Modelsvit) glued and I´m not satisfied with the outcome (just realized it some days after curing, of course..). There´s a bump between wing surface and flaps and ailerons not visible on pictures. I tried initia
  4. I fully agree with your point and had to laugh: that´s exactly what I thought: any failure of, say, Trumpeter, Meng, however the effort on launching a completely new or in some cases much better kit, and the kit is garbage. Airfix had time and examples of MUCH finer kits at least to copy and finally releases kits not much better in some cases than Eastern Express or Bilek and that´s ok because it´s cheap. Even Eastern Express or Amodel(!!) have finer engraved detais. It´s unforgiveable. Newer kits are all supposed to improve in some degree and at least incorporate the best of prior kits, not
  5. GREAT, GREAT pics! Thanks for sharing! You may want to relese a "A319 at the gate" squadron series ^_^/>
  6. Nice build you got there! I miss our old Varig.. BTW, I´m in the process of finishing the VOP, in old colors.. stay tuned!
  7. Holy crap..these modern aircraft camos are getting more and more complicated. I miss luftwaffe wellenmuster camos.. Nice work on your seams, by the way!
  8. The 1/72 Revell just like the one above was my first Phantom and my second model build in 1978 (I was 14) and since then I have never stopped building!. The first model kit was a Revell 1/72 P-40 in 1972 when I was 8. It´s by far my favorite aircraft and have four Phantoms built, a lot more to build and lots of books!
  9. I´m building an 1/72 Academy Banshee, just finished applying stock decals; as I have several decal stencils for navy jets (for Panther, Phantom), I thought about some stenciling in the Banshee (if not apropriate decal stenciling available); anybody can post (or share a link) on a Banshee stencil diagram? I´ll post pictures later when at home. Much apreciated in advance!
  10. I´m breathless (being another Phantom lover..). Unfortunately my scale is 1/72. Dreaming about an F-4H1 prototype..
  11. I got the revell 1/12 Shelby and tamiya 1/12 Enzo, and after some extensive web search, wasn't able to find any items. The Shelby, though a nice kit, is desperately in need of PE parts and decals (resin parts as alternative would be nice too!). The Enzo Ferrari is a superb $300 kit, IMHO worth every cent, but several new PE items can be developed, as brakes, engine parts, carbon fiber templates, etc. I'm SICK to build both, but I'm afraid when I'm in the middle of the builds aftermarket companies start releasing parts..No doubt it eventually will happen, but if not in a forseeable future ( I
  12. Very, very nice. I'm also fond of these 1/200 airliners. I built a VRG 747-400 last year, and also several other VRG and other carriers, you can check it out in my posts. Any others on production line?!
