Upgraded S-3s could fill most of the roles of the LCS for significantly less money. And actually be effective.

May just be a rule for the locks. Or the never-ending mechanical failures of the class... I could make comments about the collosal waste of money they are, but I won't. I had the joy of seeing an A380 and multiple 747s (cargo type) at LAX and then a Qantas 747 at HNL. I love 747s. Took crappy pictures on my phone, not worth posting. Dave

I have watched Strategic Air Command three times in the last two weeks... Love it. Dave

Unfortunately no camera on me and only a long distance shot on my cell phone, but I saw a four-ship of Super Hornets heading past Nationals Stadium towards Arlington National Cemetery. I assume they broke into "missing man" for a burial. There were certainly sounds of maneuvering. It was around 1400. Also saw a couple HMX-1 VH-60s around the National Mall as I wandered around. Dave

Norway - RNoAF - "Saints"
-
I don't have it yet (on it's way, don't tell my wife), but based on YouTube videos and pictures online, it has all the RBT kit parts as well as extra sprues for a different nose, the older parabrake housing, and bombs/racks. Once I have it in hand, I'll give more info, but I'm sure someone will get to it faster than me. Dave

With some Norwegian AF "Saints" markings...

Beautiful bird. Why the selloff? Need more space for Tomcats? Or have you decided to start building submarines? Dave

Does every model have a "make or break" moment?

Honestly, on every kit, it is as soon as construction is done and painting needs to start. I will go crazy with scratch-building and corrections, etc without it really bothering me when I have to redo or tweak. I love forming something from nothing, but as soon as I start to think about painting, I begin to lose interest. I expect to screw something up or just end up with a paint job which doesn't match the workmanship of the construction. Dave -
Love the idea and the intent, not a fan of the execution. Glad they tried something though. Dave

Digital blue camouflage comes to mind... and let's not forget LCS...

Forget the movies, the real reason is HERE Cheers, Dave

One of these days I will get to a Nats...

Well, with the way the marking is up by the name, one could assume they just marked the pilot's "personal" mount. The plane with the kill might have a mark too... Or they repainted the name to match the pilot and swapped modex based on seniority... Officers can have egos (before you start, I'll say it: "pot this is kettle") Dave

Sweet. Have a great vacation. Dave

F-18C, EF-111...

Yeah and accurate loadouts...that 8 x 1000lb JDAM, 2 x 500lb JDAM loadout is wild. Go for the combo -87, -31 sheet for this deployment. Cheers, Dave

I was a bit bummed myself. Been working on a bit of a Tomcatters history build and there was nothing that made me want to build a Super Hornet until there was a chance it was -31. Dave
-
Nope, apparently War Party...
-
Is it wrong to be bummed that it looks like it wasn't Tomcatters? Dave

The seven Sailors who perished on FITZGERALD have been identified. Navy.mil Story Sailor rest your oar... Please take a moment to remember the servicemen and women from all countries who risk their lives in service to their country every day. Dave

CVN-77, CVW-8, VFA-31? Assuming article is correct about a single seater, BUSH is the one out with -8 (AJ) onboard, and Tomcatters is the single seat squadron... I could be horribly wrong as well...
