That isn't good news; judging by your username, it must hurt even more; let's hope the accuracy and other details compensate for those drawbacks.
From what I have seem, and comparing with photos from the web and Jake's book on the A-10, it seems to be fairly accurate, and represent the latest variant with all the new gizmos avaliable.

I received my kit yesterday and briefly went thru it today. I didn't open any of the bags yet but, from what I could see thru the bags, the following items are required all because of injection pin marks 😡 WTF Academy ?!?!
Pylons
Boarding ladder
Landing gear ?? maybe the kits are usable ?
Gear doors
It's really a shame too because the pylons are really nice, the sway pads give you the option for loaded or unloaded stations. I just don't understand why in this day and age of technology, we still have injection pin marks on things.
Rant over.
Steve
Your observations are correct, here are some photos from my sample, the dark circles are the ejection marks highlighted with Tamiya dark brown panel liner. To be fair, they are quite shalow and hard to see.
Someone will surely come with some aftermarket replacement but as you said, these things should hot happen with today's injection molding tech.

Hard to believe GWH could make better kit.
The only flaw as I can see are Academy decals. To bad they didn't order it from Cartograf.I have read in other sites that Academy's new decals are excellent, on par with Cartographs' best. Dusan Lekic (Scale ModelAircraft on YouTube) commented that in his Academy 1/48 A6M2b build review (Academy 1/48 A6M2b Build)

Have you used any of the MCW automotive colors? I was wondering if the metallic flake looks to be in scale for a 1/24-1/25 scale kit.
Sorry that I didn't answered your question earlier. No, I have not, only the military colors.

I would recommend the MRP line of scribers. This one: NPR Scriber Narrow is excellent, I use it as my primary scriber and have zero complaints. Expensive for sure but worth it.

MCW Finishes makes enamels for popular FS colors. I have used them and they behave like old MM but IMHO with better results, since they use automotive-grade ingredients. I thin with Levelling Thinner and the resulting finish is smooth as butter.
MCW FinishesThey are expensive, thou.

I took your post and of course ran with it! Called Gloria and asked which of her eyeballs turned yellow? She ran into the bathroom for a close look; then called me an SOB! Then told me she was posting a very bad picture of me on Fakebook! Now she's blackmailing me!

Mine acted the same way but I give here a Snicker bar....

That’s strange. Is the microchip working ok? You may need to have it upgraded to V6.762a. That version eliminated “yellow eye”. Reach out to Overlord Bill and he’ll take care of it.
Strange, I updated the microchip firmware but still the yellow eyes. What'sUpped Bill Gates and he referred me to someone named 99...googled it but the only one related to is a guy named Toto.

Got first shot on Sunday. One eye turned yellow and developed x-ray vision but otherwise no side effects.

I paid $7 for three from there a while back. Unfortunately, I no longer see them being offered at that price.
Just got a set of 3 for $9.99 free shipping from Amazon (Prime of course, 😉).

I bought an Iwata Eclipse a couple years ago and today was my first time using it. I was using Mr Color Light gray to paint 767 wings and roots. I poured some of the paint into the cup, bubbled it with a couple drops of Mr Thinner and turned up to about 25 psi. I got really weak flow, blotchy uneven finish and little speckles on the surface.
Any suggestions on how to make the process smoother? Seemed I couldn't get a nice uniform flow going unless I turned psi way up to around 30 and even then the stream just did not seem wide enough for an even cover.
Thanks for any tips!
I learned a long time ago to NOT mix Mr colors and thinner inside the airbrush cup. The paint is more dense and will clog the AB. Try mixing in a separate cup. I use Aztec gravity feed cups with a toothpick inserted in the tip of the siphon tube. Mix the paint/thinner, remove the toothpick and pour on the AB.

Decent 1/48 F-105D/G, F-111 and A-10A/C kits are what I'd like to see most. I don't care for open avionics or engine bays, radar, etc. (most guys that like that go aftermarket or scratch anyways), but it is pathetic when modern kits have worse shape issues than Monogram or Academy kits from the last millenium.
Also hope for a 1/72 B-1B (and that Modelcollect does a better job than with the B-52G/H).
Your dreams are my dreams. It is up to our Russian friends (Zvezda) to make these dreams come true ,as we can count no more on hasegawa or tamiya.

Yes!! Long overdue. Hopefully after that we’ll get a new P-51D.
Agreed, the Eduard one is inaccurate (plastic is gray instead of magenta, too much ejection pin markings in the canopy frames, et al).

Don't know if this is old-ish news but certainly good ones! 😀
The one in 1/35 should give the the excuse to start my Trumpeter Hind that is in deep cold storage.

As more USAF/ANG units adopt the Have Glass 5 scheme, it is time for a new "Dark Vipers" sheet - expect this one to be available in the Sept-Nov. timeframe.
It will mostly follow the same design I used in the first two sheets, with some improvements to the stencilling/common markings section based on feedback from you.
Great news! BTW, do you have plans for a new F-35A sheet? Lots of new USAF units using this aircraft (AK, VT, and the 4th & 421th FS in the 388 FW).

Thanks for asking. This was the exact question I was wondering about as well as I'm on my last bottle of MM Burnt Metal.
Here's a second question. Which of the above mentioned paints can also be brush painted? I loved MM Metalizers because you could brush small parts.
Have a look here, you can do it with Mr Metallics : Natural Metal Finishes
