  1. Seriously cool. I did the 1/72 resin kit a few years back, and this has inspired me to do this kit.
  2. I picked up a Hase F-8 (FN) 1/48 kit for a great price, but I'm not too crazy about the commemmorative markings (the only ones supplied, Donald duck with a musket). Has anyone got a set of operational markings for a French Navy F-8 in 1/48 scale, prefferably in the blue/grey scheme but the grey over white would do as well. I have some stuff to trade, I also have PayPal. contavt me at cryptoguy295@hotmail.com Felinoid
  3. Again, cleaning out the stash, let's have a look, shall we? Amodel 1/72 Yak-38U, the ugliest kit ever made of the ugliest a/c of all time, as all parts and decals, $10.00 US, does include decals. KP 1/72 Suchoj Su-7BKL,kit # 25 all parts in sealed bags, decals, I'll toss in True Details 1/72 KM1 Soviet Ejection seats. kit # 72402. $12.00 US Academy 1/72 F-8P Crusader, with commemmorative and operational markings,Eduard Zoom set #SS227, and Express Mask XS230. In view of this, $20.00 US or a good offer, 1/48 cockpit sets and decals would be considedered. Academy A-37B Dragonfly, all part
  4. I'm cleaning out the stash and have (amongst other things) two Revell 1/72 WWIII Luftwaffe "what-if" jets. Prices don NOT include shipping. Kit # 04312, Horten GO 229 Gotha, kit parts still sealed in bag, no decals (got the kit that way, shrink-wrapped and all, Revell said no to my request for decals), $7.00 US. Kit # 04359, Me P.1099B, Heavy Armour Schwerer Jagar ( basically a heavily armed and armoured ME-262), all parts shrink-wrapped but again, no decals, picked it up this way. $7.00 US. In light of the no decals situation, I will let both kits go for $10.00 US PLUS shipping. I will ta
  5. I recently aquired another HobbyBoss 1/48 Yak-38A, kit # HY80362. I was going to use it for detailing but then I found out about HB's Yak-38U, kit # HY8063. How about a straight-up trade, anyone? The kit I'm offering is still sealed and shrink wrapped. I'm on vacation this week, can sent it out by Saturday if it all goes through fast enough. I'm based in central CT, USA. 06052, check the Good Traders list if you wish. Contact me here ir directly at cryptoguy295@hotmail.com. Felinoid
  6. Picked up a Revell OF Germany kit of the Kamov KA-50 Hokum. Is this the same kit as the Italieri KA-50? Felinoid
  7. I'll be at Valleycon next Sunday in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Anyone else going? Felinoid
  8. I'm building an Academy M-51 Super Sherman with the massive 105mm gun, is there an aftermarket item for the gun barrel? Looked at the usuals, no dice. I asked a local toolmaker, he said sure-$50, a bit past my budget ( a good guy and he does beautiful work, but...). Any input is welcome, either here or through a pm. Felinoid
  9. Just finished a good trade with Tomcat_Tweaker (aka Dave), highly reccommended. :salute: Felinoid
  10. Well, now with ARC Armor open and available.... Up for grabs is a Dragon 1/35 scale ZSU-23-AV1 Shilka, kit #3521. The box isn't in the greatest shape bit all parts and decals are sealed. I'll also toss in a Dragon 1/35 Soviet Tank Crew, kit # 3010-again the box has seen better days but all parts are intact. All for $US 10.00, just pay this plus shipping. Preferred payment is by PayPal or USPS Money Order. For simplicity's sake I prefer CONUS but I will consider outside orders. One catch-I may not be able to ship it until Saturday, January 21st, due to a crazy work schedule. Please reply vi
  11. I have up for a trade offer an Academy 1/48 F-15I Ra'am, box opened but everything intact. I'm looking to trade for an Academy 1/48 F-15K (Korea) or F-15S (Singapore, I think there's a kit available for this). I live in central CT, USA. Because of my work schedule, the quickest I can get it into the mail would be this upcoming Saturday. Please respond here via pm or directly to my e-mail, cryptoguy295@hotmail.com Thanks for looking. 12. No luck in Buy Or Sell, so I'll try here. Up for grabs, a Fine Molds 1/144 Millenium Falcon, kit # SW-11, the box is open but all parts are sealed in the bags. My asking price is US$60.00 or a REASONABLE offer, plus shipping. PayPal and USPSMO are my preferred payment methods. Conus is preferred for simplicity, but I'll entertain offers from other locations. Feel free to check out my references. If I can make a deal this week, I can get it out on Friday or Saturday (insane work schedule). Contact me through here via PM or directly at cryptoguy295@hotmail.com. Thanks for looking. Felinoi
  13. I had no idea about the -E and -F usage, I just assumed.. (and we all know what that means!!!). Good to know, but now as I have a Hase -E, maybe I'll just a little "what-if" ism. I understand Brazil ahs been offered the Super Hornet.... Thanks for the input! Felinoid
  14. Up for grabs a Fine Molds 1/144 Star Wars Millienium Falcon, kit # SW-11. The box is opened but all parts are still sealed in bags. Asking price is $60.00. Shipping is NOT included. Ships from New Britain, CT. I would prefer to keep it in CONUS to keep it simple. Preferred payment is PayPal or USPS Money Order. I ship Priority with an delvery confirmation. I would consider an unbuilt Anigrand 1/72 Super Mirage 4000 kit for a trade, would have to be in similar condition, bags unopened, etc (I know-good luck with that! ) One problem-due my job hours, I can't get it out until next Saturday, t
  15. Title and description says it all, any sheets for Aussie Super Hornet out in 1/72? Felinoid
  16. Picked one up the other day at my LHS, looks good in the box. I think i'll the Afghanistan scheme. Felinoid
  17. The Dark Side beckoned, and I purchased a few armor models .... But one problem is, a few have individual track links; great for realism, bad if you have never dealt with them. The average is over 100 links, all assembled individually Does anyone know of a semi-simple method of assembling these, or can provide a link? I have tried several armor modeling sites, and keep getting things like "links were assembled in the usual manner", etc, but with no methods listed. Btw, the kits- Trumpy S-Tank, HB BMP-3, DML ZSU and a Revell (ex-DML) BMP-2. Thanks for any and all input.
  18. Went to the Book Barn in Niantic, CT yesterday, found a copy of Greg Boyington's Baa Baa Black Sheep, hardcover, with photos (my Bantam paperback has none) very good condition (but no dust jacket, too bad), and... it's the second printing! cost...$5.00 One of the better buys I've gotten there, and there have been many over the years. To all ARCers, if you're ever on the CT shore, check out the Book Barn in Niantic (Google it), trust me, it is well worth the trip. Paperbacks are $1.00, and in the main building there is an ever-expanding military book selection, all at very reasonable prices
  19. Great job. i love the enginering-the black panels are seperate from the frames, no masking, just careful fitting. a great job on a great kit.
  20. Following the roof collapse this past winter, they have relocated. It's in the same group of businesses, just in the one closer to the street (if you know where the old business was, just look to the right). It's a much smaller store, but he's doing all right, spent a bit of cash there the other day. One thing that disturbed me-he said following the roof collapse he had a problem with thefts. Man, that's cold. But good to know a LHS is back in business!! Felinoid
  21. I have an Academy 1/72 OV-10D, with the huge greenhouse canopy. I found online a set of Eduard canopy masks for the Academy OV-10A, will these work for the -D model? Felinoid
  22. Perhaps this belongs in the sci-fi section, but anyway... Got word that William Campbell recently passed away, he portrayed what I thought was one of the best Klingons in the whole Star Trek series, Captain Koloth, from The Trouble With Tribbles and who revived the role in the DS9 episode "Blood Oath" (in which he, Jon Colicos as Kor and Michael Ansara as Kang fought an old enemy). He played Koloth not as a bloodthirsty, sterotypical Klingon, but as a very intelligent, somewhat aristocratic member of the species who used his wits (and wit) to combat and confound his enemy. He also played sev
  23. I built one from Polar Lights, and just used Light Gull Gray, looks good to me.
  24. My wife has had a TomTom GPS system for about a year and a half, we are always arguing about it; she loves it, I say it sucks. Put it to the test today. We went to a park festival here in central CT today, which is about 12 miles from our home, we've been there several times. We know how to get there, but she insisted on using the TomTom, maybe to find a shorter route. Well... It gave us directly opposite directions literally every step of the way, and ended up with us taking a very roundabout route totalling 37 miles. On the way back, we took our normal route-12 miles, almost on the dot.
