  1. Thanks for the suggestions guys. Yeah, Irving, I really don't fancy casting (or indeed scratchbuilding) 21 of the things - it'd be more work than the whole of the rest of the kit, and so tediously repetitive that it doesn't bear thinking about. Andre, you're right about the differing types, although I guess a bit of work to make them look as alike as possible (the top set would be quite hidden, after all) wouldn't be too bad. I don't mind buying three donor kits if I can find any with, say, eight 1000lbs in. Otherwise, we're down to Bobski's suggestion, and I'll be putting the hat out for
  2. Well, it's clearly a sign of advancing senility, but I've promised a relative to do a Black Buck Vulcan in flight with the bomb doors open, so it's off I go scratchbuilding the bomb bay, when it occurs to me I might want the odd bomb to go in there. Anyone have any practical suggestions as to the best way I can get my hands on 21 1/72 1000lb bombs, without remortgaging the house for resin ones? I know the Airfix Tonkas and Jags have four each, but that's still six kits. Any other 1/72 kits out there with more than four 1000lb bombs in? Of course, I could always build it without, and title it
  3. Excellent - those Expert's Choice decals at Hannants look just the ticket. Thanks for that .
  4. Just to illustrate the minefield of boxing inclusions whcih prompted my original query, there's an Academy F-15C reveiwed here which which doesn't appear to have the ASAT. Bizarrely, the Academy F-15E does. I think it's more to do with the age of the boxing. Oh, and I'm off to the twobobs forum to check out the decals, too...
  5. Unfortunately, it's USA bidders only, and I'm in the UK. Should probably have mentioned that earlier. Whoops. Thanks for the reply, though - much appreciated. Mark
  6. Hi All, I was on a while ago searching for a 1/32 ASAT F-15, and thanks to the help I got here, I duly found one of the old Revell C boxings on EBay. I make a model every year for my uncle, as he was a keen modeller whose eyesight is no longer up to the job, and this year he's requested an F-15. Anyhoo, I'm part-way through the 1/32nd build, and in the meantime him and my Aunt have sold up and downsized their house, and he's had to let some of his models go for lack of space. Now I'm thinking the huge 1/32nd bird is just going to cause more space problems, so I'm going to have to downsize his
  7. Hi, I'm just pondering building a 1/32 Eagle with the ASAT missile, and I'm wondering if the missile exists out there anywhere in 1/32, lonely and neglected on a sprue, like its 1/48 cousins? Is it in any of the Revell boxings, perchance, or am I looking at scratchbuilding it? Mark
  8. OK, I'm after a couple of the GBU-24Bs as supplied in the Revell Typhoon kit, and I've got some of the other ordinance to swap: 4 x Taurus, 4 x IRIS-T, 4 x Meteors, 2 x AMRAAM, etc. If anyone has any, I'd be delighted to hear from you. Cheers, Mark
  9. Oh dear. It looks like someone has come across exactly the same issues as me, in exactly the same search. I don't suppose anyone has had any more info to add in the nearly three years since this was posted? Thanks anyway, Mark
