  1. I am looking to detail the electronics bay (behind the cockpit) on my 1/48 F-104C/G kit. I am trying to find more color photos that show the details of the bay. I have only found these CF-104G pictures (Google) of this area... What should the colors be? One pic has the bay in gray overall with a YZC divider. The next has YZC bay with black boxes. The third pic has, well, I can't tell. It might be gray with black edges? What colors should I use for this bay/area? Black or gray? Perhaps there is a T.O. for this area that can help with the

  6. I need some help finding a "Regular green" color in the AMMO/Mig acrylic range. Here is the SB listing for "AMMO Acrylic green". SB AMMO/Mig green listing Which one of these is "plain acrylic green"? I tried "pure green" and it is too light. Scott CNJC-IPMS P.S I tried asking AMMO about this and they never replied.

  13. It is time for me to retire my AO Safty Twin Cartridge Respirator after ten years of hard use. I am looking for a respirator mask that has a clip/buckle on the neck strap so I can take the mask off easily. Hopefully with good heavy duty straps as well. I only use it for building models. What are some good suggestions? Perhaps a 3M respirator of some kind? Please provide a Amazon link to the item if possible. Thanks for all you help. Scott CNJC-IPMS

  15. They are showing a CAD for a P-3 Orion with extended flaps and other things over on Britmodeler... New tooled P-3 Orion.. What do you think? New tool or a Hasegawa re-pop with resin extras. (I think the different colors mean different parts?) Scott CNJC-IPMS
  16. I am looking for a good CA glue debonder that wont attack paint or plastic. Acetone nail polish remover does not seem to work for me. I saw this video for a product called Golden West Super Solvent. Golden West Super Solvent "US-1 Super Solvent debonds and dissolves CA (super glue). Just a little bit is usually enough to unstick your hands and remove the CA glue. US-1 is a nitroalkane formula. Most other CA debonders are based on acetome. US-1 works quicker and is much less likely to damage the surface to which it is applied. Super Solvent is safe to use with most paints and finishes

  20. Thanks for all the help. I really appreciate it! I found this description on what the crown cap actually does... Crown Cap for Iwata airbrush "The crown cap allows you to get closer to your work and thus achieve finer detail, whilst still protecting the needle. It also decreases paint build-up on the needle and in the nozzle cap, preventing spitting. Both of these benefits are obtained due to the better air displacement provided by the cut away sections of the crown cap. The cut-outs allow air to displace when you are getting very close to the work surface, so a crown cap is a gr
  21. I am using an Iwata Eclipse "CS" airbrush and Ammo/Mig acrylic paint. I have heard on the forums that some people remove their airbrush needle cap to help reduce tip dry using acrylic paint. (Not just to clean the needle) Is this just a rumor or is it true? Does it work? Has anyone tried this? Scott CNJC_IPMS
