  1. Hi Guys, I finished the new Chaff dispensers yesterday. Now i wil sand the area a little with gritt 800 or 1000, and repaint the area with the standardcolor (Humbrol 117). Regards from the Netherlands
  2. Hi scalemodellers, The Chaff dispensers are almost ready. First of all i've made a drawing on paper with the right angle. I cut the drawing out and made 4 sidewalls. Should have ben startin somewhere. Then i build up de whole area with Evergreen sheet 0,3 millimeter. It looks much better now, than the Italeri upgrade. Now i just have to instal the boxes with the grips. This is it for today. I'm gonna make the boxes now
  3. Hi Chris, You just made a great start with this Fairey Fulmar in 48nd scale. I do like the stratchbuilding in combination with the PE parts. Regards from the Netherlands Henk
  4. Oke, i've worked tonight on the flare-dispensers. It took me about 3 hours orso to watch the pictures, watch the pictures, watch the pictures, watch the pictures, Cut some evergreen sheet, watch the pictures, and build up the whole area. I'm finally pretty satified with the result. Oke guys. This is it for tonight. I wil strat tomorrow with the Chaff dispensers
  5. Oke, i decided to cut off the chaff&flare dispensers because they ar wrong. The models are not correct and too large. Si i'm gonna make them bij myself, using 0,02 evergreen sheet.
  6. Ah I see. Thats what you'r question. Well, i gave the model a basecoat, really not knowing that i had intentions to give the modelmore detail. So i agree with you. It doesn't seem logic perhaps. But is really doesn't matter. For some parts like the anti-collision lights, i'm glad that i gave the model a basecoat. Otherwise i had to paint these tiny lights afterwards.
  7. Hi Honza, what do you not understand? You can ask me if you want to. Then i will try to explain. Regards from the Netherlands... :salute:/>
  8. Oke, i've made new flare-dispensers a long time ago which are placed on the aft fuselage. I bought the upgrade-kit from Italeri with offcourse some useful parts. I glued the Caff & Flare dispensers from this kit on both sides of the Chinook, but''ve made a little mistake because the Chinooks from the Royal Netherlands Airforce don't use these old boxes anymore. So i decided to cut them of and now i will at least make the old connectors for the boxes as you can see on this photo So yesterday i cut out 4 windows, 2 on each side. Now its time to maken the new connection parts.
  9. Just a little update today. I've made some little lights from white an transperent sprue for the aft rotor-pylon.
  10. Next issue are the fuel filler caps. Instead of using the decals i Airbrushed them. I also did this with the walkway on top of the fuselage Finally i would like to show the D-106 from the Royal Netherlands Airforce, with his very weathered sheme, as tou can see here. [/url I already gave the model a coat with the basic color by using Humbrol nr. 117. I tried t start with some different shades of this green color which are toned down by adding some white and darkgreen and black. Its just a beginning. . Regards from the Netherlands :cheers:/>
  11. Hi there, Its been a long time ago, but i'm back with my Chinook. To be honest, i lost the motivation in the last year. There are still a lot of things to do. First of all, i almost finished the front opened door from the transmission tunnel. The tunnel offcourse needs some extra detailling. And a little wash an drybrushing job The after rotor-pylon got some extra detail. I used some bras strip 2mm and some leedfoil which i very easy to bent.
  12. Oke now a have stil to make the driveshaft. For that i used a variety of coppertube. The aluminium tube which you seen befor was in my opionion a little bit too thick. And here comes the problem. In an earlier phase i made some leds in the ceiling of the Carge. But now i opened the panel i cam tot the conclusion that it wil probably not fit because the leds are to high Oke i will fix it. So i went to my local hobbyshop to buy some leds which are more flat. There are leds available on strips. They ar easy to cut off the strip, and with a little patience a can plump them with new wires.
