  1. No, I believe it's the IMC MKII kit
  2. I need the instructions for a Testors "Those Famous Fords" GT40 MK2 If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks!
  3. I have shipped many built models without breakage. What you need is polyester fiberfill, this is the stuff that pillows are stuffed with. You can get it at any craft store or most department stores, Wal-Mart, etc... Use a sturdy oversize box and cut sheets of cardboard to fit the sides, top and bottom, so that you're making a box within a box so to speak. fill the box half full of the fiberfill and gently put your model in place, then carefully pack it over top of the model. I shipped 6 1/72 scale helicopters (all in the same box) to Australia from the U.S. using this method and not a single
  4. I've been taking a break from aircraft and building some car models lately. I like enamel paint but it takes forever for glossy enamel colors to dry. It was very frustrating having to wait a month for car bodies to dry... I found this at Tractor Supply and I must say I am very impressed with it, 2 or 3 drops in your airbrush cup and your paint is dry in 24 hours and the finish is much smoother and more glossy. I highly recommend it!
  5. I agree 100%, I sell motorcycle and chainsaw parts online and ship packages every day. I have had so many problems with UPS and Fedex that I absolutely refuse to use them. I've shipped over 10,000 items with USPS and I have never had a problem with them. Ever. I think they do a wonderful job.
  6. I'll be getting this kit, it's so refreshing to see something different for a change!
  7. The problem with spray cans is the volume of paint that comes out, it's really easy to get runs or to get the paint on way too thick. I like your idea and I wonder how hard it would be to decant it and spray it through a regular hobby type airbrush in order to better control the volume. Has anyone tried this?
  8. Lindberg has reissued the old Grumman Goose kit in 1/48 and does'nt Classic Airframes have a Widgeon in 1/48?
  9. Thanks for the tips MoFo! I recently completed my first major rescribing job, the wings on an old Monogram Wildcat that I converted to a -3. It was molded in dark blue plastic so I painted the wings white, then sanded the white paint with 600 grit wet sandpaper which brought the raised panel lines to life and left distinct dark blue lines making a great guide to go by and it was very easy to rescribe. I used a needle in a pin vise and it worked great! Edit: I have the Squadron scribing tool and I find a needle works much better and is easier to control
  10. +1 on the Tamiya Buffalo, I've built it, it's a really easy kit to build and the parts fit like a dream!
  11. Nice job! I've always wanted to get that kit... now I may just have to after seeing yours. I'd love to see more models from the "Golden Age" of aviation and I think it's an era that has been sorely overlooked by the model companies.
  12. Sorry Boys, but I would hardly call this list the best 100 songs of all time, only a couple songs on this list would make my best 100 songs... there would certainly be nothing from the "alternative" genre, I hate alternative almost as much as country and I can think of a thousand better pop songs than the ones that are listed. Just my $.02...
