  1. I like to use a 90% thinner 10% smoke with a drop of Tamiya's NATO brown. As fulcrum_driver stated you'll have to do a few very light coats.
  2. I half to agree with el'TJ. The Metal Tape works the best. The Bare Metal foil is just to soft and thin to work with. You can pick up this tape at any home improvement center for about $4-5 dollars.
  3. Go for the CH-46D and the SH-60. Both kits are excellent and there are aftermarket set and decals out. I'm assuming your looking at 1/72! There's a set of decals for this helo in 1/72, wish they had the in 1/48 http://www.amv83.net/navycag/cag1.htm http://www.amv83.net/navycag/hs/hsl49a2.jpg
  4. Heres a few that may help Here is a web page with some real nice pisc. http://212.158.133.3/hwa/randy_smith/h-46/index.htm
  5. Hey Dan, it was painted on using Tamiyas paints. For the stars they are made of vinyl placed over the white painted area. The blue was sprayed and the stars were lifted. Now I'm hearing that Academy's coming back out with this kit using these marking. I'm not sure how true it is.....you know how the the news get around the modeling world
  6. She is a beautiful kit, built two and working on a third. The only complanit I have is that there is'nt enough engraved panel lines. My second one I scribed in some. I highly recommend grtting this kit ;)
