  3. Wow...do they realy go for those prices. I have them all, Huey, Cobra,OH-6 OH-58 and others. Today they sit in the basement collecting dust under a shelf. I should sell them off cheap to just move them, heck I'd even trade them off. Happy Modeling, Joe
  4. I also had a few bugs, one was major. I had a friend who told me about SpyBot and downloaded it. It fixed the problems. However I was still attacked!!! I think the problem comes from these adds above on the site. I did notice a few things awhile back, doing a Goggle search on Guitars and You Tube on line blues courses, I started to see adds with guitars. Then doing a search while looking over new cars again car adds. There where others things that followed me over the time. I believe that the adds or something follow me, maybe some of you as well…see for yourself. I thought these adds we
  5. Using just the Tamiya Buff is to dark. US Marine Sand FS33711 is a good color however I like mixing Tamiya's XF-57 Buff with XF-55 Deck Tan. I mix one bottle to one bottle (50/50). Then I'll drop in a one or two (three)of Tamiya's flat white into what's left in the airbrush cup and hit the high point to get that faded/bleached look. It's a good match, matched it up to a Humvee. Happy Modeling, Joe
  6. Louvers, louvers and more louvers…finally I done with louvers. There’s not much more to do to the main body, next I’ll start on the tube structure chassis, fenders and so on. More to come later. Happy Modeling, Joe
  7. I’m not quite what these light are for but I do have an idea. I think they work when the Husky is in operation during X-raying. It’s starting to get a bit messy… This is the air canister and filter. Happy Modeling, Joe
  8. Moving along, I did some more work to the main body. Here is the upper roof section where the driver/operator enter into the Husky through to panel doors. Happy Modeling, Joe
  9. A good close CARC green that I use is mixing Tamiya's XF-65 Field Grey and XF-67 NATO Green. I buy both bottles and mix togther with a dash of rubbing alcohol. Afterwards I'll take the NATO Green only and airbrush the highlight areas. Works well and looks great! Here's a pic that is painted as above, it does have some weather added. Happy Modeling, Joe
  10. Please may I have "12 Academy 1/48 kit - 12204 F-16C 'Flying Razorbacks' Thanks!! Joe
  11. What a great movie Stroker Ace was. Oh yeah I remember those kits, I built two myself. I don't have any pics though. I do however have two of the 16th kits, the Petty car and the Dukes Charger witch could be used as a 70 Charger NASCAR. Happy Modeling, Joe
  12. It's bad enough already that I can't say Merry Christmas or see a Christmas Tree at my favorite place...it's bad enough I can't say God Bless you and so on AND now this crap. I don’t think we need more czar in our life. Look I can see where both sides come from and I really don't care. Like with others "If you don't care about the story/topic then walk on by, it's really simply enough to do...heck I do it just about everyday. But I won't let it sweat me. Happy Modeling, Joe
  13. More to follow. Happy Modeling, Joe
  14. Moving on…I started on the cabin area, I needed a way to detail and paint it once it’s in the Husky. So thinking about it while looking over the drawings I said why not drop it through the top. That way I can detail and paint it without any problems. A little detail that I missed was that the window frames are off by 1/2mm, yeah I know but it does show…at least to me.
  15. Small update from Friday night. Upper sections, need to put in louvers and screens. I need to fill in joints and scribe them back in later. Happy Modeling, Joe
  16. Thanks guys! Gino, who here in the US has a good source of resin Buffalo tires, any ideas. Happy Modeling, Joe
  17. Vehicle Mounted Mine Detector (VMMD), These Huskies are made of heavy metal, and are designed to survive blasts from detonations such as those from improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Well I’m finally getting around to build this project since seeing it on the military channel. It’s going to be 1/35th made from evergreen plastic. My research took around two weeks to gather up, scale and draw up plans. There are two Husky’s out, the single operator MK III which is the one I’m building and the Husky 2G with has two operators. Down fall with this project is that I really don’t
  18. Great find Pete! I will be placing an order tomorrow or Monday. They will work plenty for my projects. I used the Archer ones and yes they are costly. Happy Modeling, Joe
  19. I'm in and can't wait to get stated. I'm going to do the 1/16 scale charger converted into a 1968 (NASCAR) stockcar. Happy Modeling, Joe Oh...I'm a NASCAR fan AND i never fell asleep during a race.
  20. Here are two ways to break apart the fuselage, something I also had to do when I glued the fuselage of my F/A1-8 and forgot to add the cockpit. One is to throw it into your freezer for an hour, the gentle squeeze down on the fuselage seams to crack apart. And two is to use nail polish remover, use a Q-Tip dipped and just keep wiping along the seam, again gentle squeeze along fuselage seam to break apart. It can be done with some patience and time. Happy Modeling, Joe
  21. Once again count me in please, and I also will donate a few items (new). Just PM me when you are ready to post prize list. Happy Modeling, Joe
  22. Justen and I made it down from Buffalo, NY and I have to say it was a great show...it was our second time there. Have to say the show went well, nice place and people. There were plenty and I can't stress enough "plenty of super great deals to be found". I only wished I brought more money. One example...Monogram Prowler kits at $17 dollars, I bet you could have gotten one say $13! I did have one complaint though, during the awards it was very hard to hear over the crowd and venders packing up. There was no microphone or PA system and the guys announcing were nor vocal. I do plan on attending
