That's right Greg - the kit will come with stores inc AGM-88 Harm, AIM-120C AMRAAM, AIM-9M/9X Sidewinder missiles as well as fuel tanks and targeting pods. That probably makes it coparable value wise with the Hasegawa kit which of course is pretty bare under the wings! Steve

Hi all Thought people might be interested to hear - if someone hasn't posted already - that the new Tamiya 1/48 F-16 is due in the UK next month with a confirmed retail price of £26.99. We also have a pic on the site at http://www.eaglemodels.co.uk/acatalog/Tami...pre_orders.html Steve Eagle Models UK

Tamiya 1/32 F-4J Phantom II
steveheaglemodels replied to steveheaglemodels's topic in In-Progress Pics
Thanks all. In answer to the questions: I think I'll be doing the old chestnut I'm afraid - Cunningham and O'Driscolls showtime 100. I know it's been done loads of times but I think it's a great scheme despite the familiarity. I'm expecting some debates about the accuracy of the scheme but I'll be using the Eagle Strike sheet which claims to be 'the ONLY' accurate sheet for this scheme - we'll see...... The hoses were done from copper wire - which I get in various sizes from an electrical web supplier. For the oxygen hoses I take some 0.7mm and wind 0.375 around it into a coil, then trim. I -

:D Blimey my eyes have given up for today - but the seats are basically painted now. I have a bit more detail painting to do followed by a flat coat (the cushions were glossed for the seat pad decals) and then I'll add the Eduard placards and belts. Close photography like this sure shows up the flaws - I'm not happy with the pull handles and might do them again - I'll sleep on that one. :P Steve http://www.eaglemodels.co.uk/ -

Hi all. Seats assembled and detailed thanks to those great pics recommended by brockytaz. They've had an overall coat of primer ready for painting. Steve -

I'm using ED32530 which provides the cockpit and exterior details, ED32512 for the seat details, and some but not all of the placards on ED32509. There are some pics of the sets on our website: http://www.eaglemodels.co.uk/acatalog/32colouretch.html -
Hi all Just got back to my 1/32 Phantom after a house move and just having got my workbench back up and running. I have just about got the cockpit finished using Eduards colour etched set and I will be cheating further by using their placards and colour ejection seat details. I'll be scratchbuilding some oxygen hoses and comms leads once my stocks of copper wire are replenished in the next day or so. I'll be sorting the seats out at the same time. I'd be interested in comments as I'm no Phantom expert so any warnings along the way would be welcome. Steve http://www.eaglemodels.co.uk/

Any After Market guns suitable for Mossies??
steveheaglemodels replied to Michael Scarborough's topic in Props
Hi Aires do both a 20mm cannon bay and the nose machine gun bay as separate sets - both contain new resin barrels of much better quality than the kit. http://www.eaglemodels.co.uk/acatalog/Gunbays.html Steve -
Thanks Ken - I'll take a look..

Hi Guys I'm trying to upload some pics and get the message 'Upload failed. You are not permitted to upload a file with that file extension'. I'm saving the pictures as GIFs and they're all within the upload limit. The only thing I can see is that the file on my pc describes the image as a paint shop pro image but with a GIF extension. I can't see how to alter this. Any ideas - I've never had any problems before! Steve
