Hey everyone, I’ve been pouring over all the research material and photos I can find. The white in the F-14 intakes looks like it’s changed positions over the years. It went from a “vertical” to the later diagonal/slanted, and some have the diagonal with an extra “tooth” sticking out. Is there a specific point or timeframe when the shape/direction of the white portion of the intake changed? Did this change occur during certain types of maintenance or overhauls? Hi everyone, I am looking for a full or partial sheet of Two Bobs 48-036. Particularly, I am looking for the "Blue Diamonds" markings that run along the fuselage, behind the cockpit. My sheet is printed out of register and the white and blue are fouled up. Does anyone have this sheet or those two decals in their spare box? Thanks for all of inputs! There are definitely some good points in the posts. I like to build for an accurate model that reprsents the real thing. If it looks good on the shelf from the good ol' "three foot rule", then I'm a happy man. It sounds like the Revell Super Hornet will do just that. I definitely appreciate the comments! Thanks again!

Greetings from the sandbox!! I've seen the chats back and forth between the 1/48 Revell F/A-18E and the Hasegawa F/A-18F in regards to which one is better. Has anyone built a 1/48 Hasegawa F/A-18E? I've got a couple of Revell in the ol' closet, but I was wondering if the E model from Hasegawa suffers from the same shortfalls as the F. I couldn't find any reviews of the kit. Anybody have any thoughts which makes a better single-seater?

I just used Model Master metalizers to do the engines and under side of a Hasegawa F-4. I sprayed the metalizer, used the sealer, and used future on top of that. After masking the areas with the usual tape, sections of the metalizer (or sealer) peeled off with the tape, and the whole tail section looked horrible. Maybe I should have waited a few extras days instead of just 24 hours. Any suggestions as to what happened and/or what to use to mask the metalizer areas before going on to the next color? I've heard wet newspaper and post-it notes from a few folks. I'm also thinking about us
