Hello all!
Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement! Jake and I worked our fannies off on this one, and I'm so glad you all have found it helpful. We are also incredibly thankful for all of the modelers who contributed their time and talent for this project..without them, it simply wouldn't have been possible!
Thanks for having enough faith in us to buy the book. We truly welcome and listen to all of your feedback!
Cheers,

That's good stuff right there Chris.
You are the man.

Thanks Jozef. I'm trying to justify the price.
It is an amazing kit. I have it, and am looking forward to starting it. I have access to a real L-39C every day. The ZA is very similar. Let me know if you have any reference questions.

Here's a link to Timmy! and I flying the L-39-
I have waivers from the FAA to conduct L-39 type training and upset/unusual attitude training in my L-39...and I fly it for fun as much as possible-

Thanks Pig. I thought I remember a story from back in the 60's where a civilian pilot ejected from an F-86 at an airshow and the jet then crashed into the stands and killed a good number of people. After that, the FAA mandated that all warbirds fly with disarmed seats.
Must have been one of those aviation myths.
Yes. I flew a buddies L-39 last summer with hot seats. They are out there-

Question for the folks on this thread - do the ex-military jets fly with live ejection seats or are they disarmed (and if so, why)?
some do, some don't. My seats are disarmed...not my choice, they were disarmed when I bought it.
The pyros for the seats and canopy jettison can be expensive and problematic to maintain. Most L-39's here in the U.S. have cold seats for that reason-

I will take some when I go to work and post them for you tonight pig, or can email them to you. I will ask Gabe, he has like 2000 reference shots, and may have some of the aft bombsight.
Brandon
Hey Brandon & Mike-
Thanks you guys for the help!

Anybody have any images of the gunsight in the aft cockpit of the T-45? Looks like it's the same sight used in the AT-38B...Man, I could use some good pics of that-

Hey Chris-
Dave Williams has posted a look at the new 32nd scale Trumpeter A-4M over on LSP. The kit needs a new canopy and windscreen..Would love to see you tackle that for us-

couple things.
The Nav pod was uploaded for this MiG kill sortie.
778 did not have the blue fin flash from the 33rd FS when Gary North shot down this MiG. The jet was on loan to the 33rd from the 19th FS. 778 had a yellow finflash with the word "Gamecocks" for the shootdown, as well as the other 19th FS insignia. The jet was re=branded to the 33rd after the kill.
Don't even worry about the targeting pod adapter being on/off the jet. There were no targeting pods available for the Shaw squadrons at that time..and no adapters either.

According to their website, you can buy directly from them:
That's what I thought too! But when you click to buy, you get a message that says "no active store for this vendor"...so I think they are inop. Also, the "latest news" on their home page hasn't been updated since March 2010..so I think they are shut down..
Looking for a secondary source-
