  1. new or used, barter, sold, or free. Paint on it? Not a problem.
  2. I have a 1/72 Hasegawa K-25 boxing that is about ready for paint. However, the front canopy still shows the sprue gate no matter how much i sand and buff it. So if anyone has a spare or one off of an old kit that they are getting rid of, i'll gladly take it/trade it/pay for it.
  3. i love the F-16, and i just cut them off and i do not miss them when i am done.
  4. i had it happen with the 36251 and 36375 when thinned a bit with X-20A and with the 36375 when thinned a bit with water. They mixed easily and went on great. Nothing happened that would lead me to think that the paint was bad or old. I'll tweak my technique with the suggestions and try again. I've used MM acrylics in the past and currently use almost all Gunze.
  5. So i bought some AKAN paints, as MM discontinued 36251 for the Mod Eagle scheme. I have used it twice now. Once thinning a little with Tamiya's X-20A and the second time thinning a little with water. Both times it sprayed on great and covered well. However, both time the paint has stayed a bit tacky. It is as if it is not dry, but when it is weeks after i sprayed it, it should be. Any ideas and tips to try? Thanks
  6. Dang Eric, another super build! Love the weathered look on this dark scheme.
  7. As i got ready to paint my F-15C (1/72 Hasegawa to be 123rd FS - Caracal!), i noticed my old bottle of MM 36251 was no longer a liquid. So, off to the LHS to buy a new bottle. Discontinued, is what they tell me. So which paint to buy to paint the Mod Eagle scheme (i prefer acrylics, but beggars can't be choosers)? I love the Gunze Aqueous paints, but they do not make a 36251. TIA

  9. might just have to wing it and go with Cal. Cutie and not do the stripes. I might be off on the mission marks some, but... what else to do.
  10. I have the Academy P-38J. Love the looks of it. I picked up the QB resin engines and barrels as well. I would like to build it as a ETO or MTO in the OD and NG scheme with the silver faux drop snoot nose, but without D-Day stripes. The later is the catch. I have a Kagero Top Colors book with "California Cutie" in it, but it has the D-Day strips. Illiad has a sheet with "Gentle Annie" but it has D-Day stripes too. Question, are there other sheets with the silver nose and OD/NG in 1/72 that do not need the D-Day stripes. Or can i just not put on the D-Day stripes and be fairly certain that the

  12. Great project Gianni! Great job building the IAF Ahit that i am wanting to build as well!
  13. that scheme really allows you to bring out the surface details! Great work!
  14. Sweet Zipper! I'm a huge fan of the BAF 104 scheme.
  15. Great work. Thanks for taking us along for the journey of the build!
