that bar is a guide over which the shoulder harness belts pass. I can't figure out how to post a pic here, but if you Google "hellcat cockpit" you should be able to find it.

Thanks for taking the time Ken...odd isn't it, not to be able to find a shot of someone standing next to an open door or a 'hero shot' in the seat or something. That pic of yellow 15 is all anyone as been able to turn up. I'm just hoping that the civil version is outfitted same as the military one. Barry

Good day all, I'm doing the Amodel Ka-15M, and found a really good walkaround: http://walkarounds.airforce.ru/avia/rus/ka...ka-15/index.htm but, I can't see any seatbelts or attachment points, and can't find any shots showing them on any other sites. They must have had them. Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks, Barry

lacquer thinner should do it for you and it won't attack resin.

Nice fuselage seam Gerald, but my inquery concerned windows.

Interesting idea Frank, I'll give it a try. Thanks

Thanks for the enlightenment Kev. I saw this when it first went up and was wondering what the joke was.

Nice job there Gokhan. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Thanks Gerald, I'm thinking of trying that on my Dragon Rapide, but on something like a DC-6 or even the early Lockheed twins, I'd like to be able to run superglue around the edges and sand everything flush so that the windows look like they're actually part of the fuselage. Of course, with a NMF there's not much of an issue since that stuff goes on in such a thin layer.

A little help, please: I don't usually do transports, but when I do, the windows give me nothing but grief. In 1/72 scale, what's the secret to not getting ridge-forming paint buildup around the windows? If it can't be avoided, what's the secret to removing the ridges? Thanks, Barry

I have a xerox copy of a news article from, I think, "The Cleveland Press" of Oct.8th or 9th, 1937 which reads: JOURNEY'S END Frame of Dirigible Hindenburg Bought by Firm Here Journey's end for the remnants of the dirigible Hindenburg's frame came today at the National Bronze & Aluminum Foundry Co., E. 88th street and Laisy avenue. The company bought the 125,000 pounds of frame which was cut into pieces for smelting purposes. The company's contract specifies that the material may not be used for making ash trays, bookends or any of the ot

Hi John Mine had decals for a USAF Korean War plane, "Paper Tiger" in NMF and a German plane from JG 71 in Dark Green-Gunship Grey cammo over Neutral grey undersides. Do you need/want the instruction sheets? PM me your address and they're yours. Barry

glad I'm not the only one Corsairman. I just puttied them over.

OK gang, the Tamiya corsairs have a nicely formed 'dimple' on the upper and lower surface of each wing tip. Does anyone have any idea what they are supposed to represent? This feature is seen on both the 1/72 and 1/48 kits, but nothing like it is visible on any of the photos that I have seen.
